Problem with Hill Pump

Post by Evia »

I have just acquired a Hill Pump, and had a problem with it. When I was charging my first cilynder, when the pressure gauge only showed 150 bar, I heard a little (very little) explossion inside the pump. Inmmediatly i have opened the beed valve. Now when I try to charge, the air scape from the beed valve (of course, it is closed). I have reported the failure to the Mexican representative for Hill, and he asked me to send the pump to him in order to chek it, and, if neccesarely, change it. He told me that this pumps are tested at pressures of 250 bar, so It's impossible that it fails at 150.

Some of you already had an experience like mine with this pumps?

Thanks,

Evia

I don't know the pump but it sounds as though it's faulty. Let them repair/replace it would be my suggestion.
