A European magazine recently published that a new Pardini .22 was going hit the market in August 2004. Does anyone has additional information?

I had a look/dry fire but not shoot with the unit on Tuesday. Cost is comparable with Morini and Hammerli SP20.

The trigger is manual although it is understood that an electronic version is due for later 2004 but after the Olympics. I liked the manual trigger though and overall balance was nice.

The main difference is the recoil absorption unit in the front end. Up to three weights can be used on springs that counter recoil. As I did not shoot it, I do not know the extent, or in the case of standard pistol if the recoil is just slowed down. I am sure the necessary R&D went into this as I prefer “quicker” recoil for sight picture recovery.

Light weight front ends are also available without the recoil system.

With this front unit in place, it makes the gun feel muzzle heavy, a little like the early FAS. It will be interesting to see how this shoots for the new 2005 rules ISSF rapid fire. I would definitely want to shoot one before parting with cash but no demonstrators were available at this time.

I noted the Pardini web site has not been updated to reflect this new .22 and .32 SW long version.

Is it the one we can see in the hand of Mrs Verdicchio at the Athen World cup.

This video shows her shooting after 1minute and 7sec.

Yes, and they are already selling the new version of P10 air, the new K2-air, that is just 960 grams! And it has a new trigger tongue also.

About the new 22lr. They also changed the material. Everything now comes out from the solid, no fusions.
