Anyone have any expirience with the Aerion B98? Apears to be a "new" 5 shot, compressed air, AP that lists around $800 (US).

I handled one for quite some time at the CAGP in Feb., sadly no opportunity to actually put pellets downrange. Observations: 1. sights seemed excellent, trigger as well; 2. the grip that was on it seemed a bit large for my hand, but other sizes are available; 3. balance was very good for me - lots of weight adjustment; 4. if history is a guide build quality will be first rate. Take a look at Don Nygord's website - he will be bringing them in soon

While I haven't tried the B98, I used to have one of their B96's. That is the same gun only is uses CO2 instead of compressed air. I used it for practice bullseye shooting. I never had a problem with it and my brother has it today. I never experienced the problems they say occur with a loss in velocity while rapid fireing (with CO2), at least it didn't show up in my scores. I averaged in the 270's with either the .22 or airgun @ 50 feet.
