Hello guys, has anybody here tested Mantis X for the Olympic pistols? Does it work for the air pistol? Also for dry fire?

I've used it in 25m precision training. It gives you some usefullish information of your hold and trigger control and makes boring dry fire training little bit more interactive.

Wouldn't really recommend it on 10m AP. SCATT and Noptel is for that.

Hi Cool,
Thanks for your reply.

I have seen some videos in YouTube where it had difficulties in detecting when dry firing. Did you have similar problems?

Did you use it with sport or free pistol?

Why would you not recommend it for 10m air pistol?

Thanks

I used it with sport pistol. I had some issues detecting dry firing with Pardini. I had to make little bit slimmer dry fire plug that the hammer had room to make stronger click, then no issues at all. With AP I don't believe it will detect such a small vibration those make.

It is light, well made and cheap product. But for analyzing such precise shooting as 10m AP it doesn't give you enough and true information what is needed to improve in that very delicate discipline.

Just my thoughts.

How did you mount Mantis on your Pardini?

I got some 3 cm piece of light aluminium picatinny rail and glued it to bottom of the barrell. There is also same kind of rails on the market with 3M tape on it.
