I often eat a handful or two of nuts and dried fruit before a match. I don't get full, nor hungry or hypoglycemic. Seems to work for me! The fruit gives me energy fast, and the nuts give me longer lasting energy.

Hi Rune, SamEEE

Yes, nuts are good unless they are salted ;) I discovered dried dates for myself just recently, never had any fondness! They are amazing for biking too.

Yes indeed. Salty nuts are best avoided. :-)
