Does anyone know if the Walther LP3 was ever made in .22cal?

I have only ever seen .177.

I had an LP-3 eons ago. It was .177, and I don't recall it being available in any other caliber. Being a single stroke pneumatic, I suspect it would have been pretty feeble with a larger, heavier pellet.

I shot with an LP2 in the 70's - pretty much the same gun. I never saw a .22 version of either the LP2 or the LP3 mentioned anywhere. With the FWB 65, they were the top match pistols of the time, and were not cheap, so it's hard to see what market there might have been for a .22 version. Given the simplicity of the break-barrel design, an enterprising gunsmith might have been able to convert one.
