Morini or Bennelli

Post by VPMAC »

Greetings!

I have narrowed my search for my first REAL rapid fire pistol to two pistols. The Bennelli MP90s
and the Morini CM22m. I will retire my MK 1. Any suggestions from you pro's as which would be best in the long run?

Thanks for your input and suggestions!

Ummm... Pardini.

Morinis that I have known are prone to reliability problems. Benelli is probably a better and more reliable pistol but...

The Pardini suggestion is genuine. Take a look at all the top shooters in the World and they are almost 100% Pardini shooters, yes, a few of the very top ones are given pistols and receive some kind of inducements to use them, but they wouldn't use them if they were dogs. Even Klimov who was the only top shooter using a Benelli has changed to Pardini. See here: http://toz35.blogspot.co.nz/2014/09/wch ... l-men.html

The smart choice imho is the Pardini RF.

CM22 is kind of finicky from what I have seen. I have never seen a Benelli in the flesh, looks to be of a similar vein to the Hammerli SP20; could be alright?
I have a late 80s GSP with a new fangled two stage (steel framed) trigger, and I am reasonably happy with it. Before that I shot a MG2, and before that a Unique DES-69.

Once I hit 565 I will probably buy a Pardini RF. For now my disposable income is better spent on CCI Standard!

Not in my experience.
The CM22M seems to be the pistol of choice for W25mPistol

Yes I have had a busted ejector (at about 20000 rounds) - but then, my CM22M RF has had MANY cases of .22LR through it.

Love it!

Like it or not, Pardini rules the rapid fire scene... anything else is a second choice...

We have a lot of Morinis here in Sweden. Some of them have stubborn owners who swears by them, but they are easily found second hand. I do not recommend them.
By some reason it is nearly impossible to find a used Pardini.
Benelli was a popular gun here once, when spareparts were available. Klimov told me that was the reason for him to let it go.

Thanks all. I am going to bite the bullet and go for the Pardini sp rf. Any suggestion as to who would have the best price on a new or like new one?

Thanks

Hi Mac, My Morini CM 22 RF has been incredibly reliable, very easy to take down and clean, and very easy to adjust the

recoil reducer to various ammunitions. I love the easily adjustable balance weights, the low barrel line and the perfect

for me sights. I did however, get a copy of Spencer's guide booklet for the Rapid fire version. I just set up my CM 22-RF

following his guide lines. The Morini pistols can be ordered from Neal Stepp @ISS in Fort Worth, Texas

Best of luck:

No mention of the country you live in but if you use an AOL email I am going out on a limb and guessing you're American.
If so: you can buy Pistols and parts direct from the manufacturer: http://www.pardiniguns.com/

More specifically:
http://www.pardiniguns.com/store/index. ... qunol71n32
You're looking for the "SPnewRF"

Give them a call if any worries. You'll have to jack up a transfer through a FFL.

Pardini: I expect my sales commission is in the post. :D
