THE DELAWARE AND HUDSON SMALLBORE RIFLE LEAGUE

AT WEST POINT, 2004 - 2005

The following schedule for our 68th year of competition consists of 11 matches plus a make up day. The format is individual competition only.


Range: The Tronsrue Marksmanship Center (Indoor Rifle Range) Bldg. 665 at the United States Military Academy. See below for directions and procedures.

Course of Fire: NRA 3 position. 20 shots prone, 20 shots standing, 20 shots kneeling. Unlimited sighters. A36 target will be used. 1 hr. 40 minutes per relay.

Rifle: Any rifle. Rule 3.2. AR-15s with .22 cal uppers allowed. Single shot loading only.


Sights: Any sights. Juniors, metallic sights only.


Scoring: All shooters are expected to assist in scoring without being asked and to sweep brass off their point when completing firing.

Fees: All shooters: $10 registration fee (one time only) then $5 range fee per match. Please bring completed release forms (see below) to the first match. Fees are payable at the first match. Make checks payable to the Rockland Rifle and Revolver Club.


NRA Status: The league will not be registered with the NRA.


Relays: 9 AM and 11 AM (100 mins. per relay).

Awards: Top placing Juniors will receive trophies. Competitors must fire in a minimum of 2/3 of the matches (7) to qualify. Seniors will be listed by average.

Rules: NRA Rules shall govern.

Pre-fires: Will be allowed for a $5 range fee. Must be fired at a scheduled match if space is available. (3 pre-fires per season).


Snow Days: Will be dealt with as they occur. At the first match be sure to check that your phone number, address and email address is listed correctly on our roster. Check your email on the Friday before a match for any unforeseen changes.

New shooters: We must submit a roster of shooters before every match listing name of shooter, make of rifle and serial number of rifle. If you are a new League shooter or if you have a different rifle from last season, please submit this information to Ed Mahecha (emahecha@aol.com) as soon as possible otherwise we will assume that your information remains the same. Rifles will be checked against the roster at the vehicle inspection point. New shooters must also provide a completed Waiver and Release of Liability Form .



Directions to West Point Remember that entry to the USMA campus is permitted only through the South (Thayer) gate



In addition to vehicle drivers having a photo ID, the West Point Force Protection Office requires that a roster of those vehicles which will be carrying rifles be submitted no later than the Thursday before a match. The information needed is: Name of individual driving, make & model of vehicle, state, and license plate numbers. Once established, the same roster will be submitted before each match unless you notify us of a change. Please send this information to Ed Mahecha (emahecha@aol.com) ASAP. Take into account any car pooling which may take place during the season. Better to have all possible vehicles listed.
