trigger weight

Post by milanuk »

Hello,

I've been thumbing thru 'Ways of the Rifle' lately, especially the Offhand/Standing portion. One of the things that kind of surprised me was the recommended trigger weight: 60 grammes, or a little over 2 ounces. I'd always thought that light of a trigger was reserved for Benchrest competition! Does anyone here actually have their trigger set that light? How do you control it? Seems like as soon as you could feel the presence of the trigger on your finger, it would have already gone off?!? What about for 300M/Fullbore shooting?

Thanks,

Monte

Hi,

I shoot with about 70 grams of pressure, almost as low as I can get with my trigger-system. At that pressure you can still move a lot but it's just a matter of training to get the feeling in it.

Greetz,
