TecHro Offhand Stand - Question

Post by FireHawk »

What is the lowest height for the ammo tray? I bought the Anschutz stand for my daughter awhile ago and had to rig up a tray on the lower pole section, because with the tripod base the tray was to high when using the tray on the smallest[top] section.

Looking to maybe upgrade her, but if the tray is going to be to high - then not worth buying it yet.

thnx,

Rules (ISSF, USAS & National Standard 3-P Air) do not have a minimum height for ammo tray.

Sorry, I may have not been clear. Because of her physical size, the ammo tray on the Anschutz in the lowest position is to high for her to use while kneeling.

Before I buy her a new stand - I need to make sure the same issue will not happen.

thnx,

Now I'm not clear. Do you mean too high after you rig it on the lowest pole section?

yes.

Since the poles go into each other the minimum height of the ammo try is dependent on the pole lengths & the bipod/tripod height.

The Anschutz has a higher tripod stand, which makes the minimum height not short enough. The poles are diff diameters and the tray only attaches to the smallest top pole. When the poles slide into each other and the height is as short as possible - still to high.

When setup and ammo try setup as close to the floor as possible - what is that height? That's what I am looking for.

thnx - hope this clears the muddy picture I have been describing......

I don't have that stand so don't know height dimensions. Maybe should just keep using stand you modified.

Yeah - was hoping someone with the stand might be able to measure it for me :-)

Until then, yep we will be using the stand she has.

29" looks to be the lowest height for my TecHro.
