Trouble with Tec-hro precise sight.

Post by turtlehead »

Recently purchased this sight. Problem is that my adjustable gehmann iris with magnifier or without magnifier and a 577 adapter doesn't quite thread in right. The threads in sight seem to be .5mm or so larger. Has anyone had any experience like this?

The ad says Anschutz and Gehmann compatible so all threads should be 9.5mm x1mm pitch so I can't think what the problem is unless your 577 adapter is a Gamo size 9.0mm x 1mm pitch.

Yes doesn't make sense. Can you measure the male thread diameter accurately?

Is that all the detail you want to share with people who tried to help you?

As of right now, yes. Not to be a jerk, but need to see the outcome of Tec-hro standing by their product or not. Will update you as soon as I can.

The threads in diopter are 10mm x 1. All irises are 9.5mm x 1. They admitted their "producer" must have made a mistake. They checked their stock and all were the same 10mm x1. Now they say that, " In their eyes, they see no problem."

Ok. Update. All is well. Tec-hro is standing by the mistake and sending me a new diopter.
