FWB 2700 Buttplate

Post by oldbulldog »

Got a question. My daughter shoots a FWB 2700 Light. The top section of the FWB buttplate that angles to fit snugly against the shoulder is not able to be tightened. It moves with minimal pressure even when the screw is tightened firmly. I have heard of others with the same buttplate complain of the same thing. Any potential solutions short of buying a new buttplate?

My son shoots the same gun and had the same problem. I had to buy .001 shim stock to snug up the fit between ears that locate the upper wing.

For steel. Ebay usually has everything!

I have also bought a cheap feeler gauge set for a few pounds/dollars with a whole selection of shim stock 1/2 inch x 3 inch from 1.5 thou to 30 thou if thats big enough. Of course every piece is different!
