Removing Gehmann Adjustable Front Iris

I purchased an Anschutz Front Sight on another forum and it came with a Gehmann 18mm Front Iris w/ Horiz. Bar (2.4-4.4mm).

I would like to put with iris on another front sight that I have but do not know the proper way to remove it. Your advice is appreciated!

There should be a jam ring that tightens against the sight body, you loosen this and thread the iris out of the sight. The iris comes with a hook spanner to tighten/loosen the jam ring, hopefully you got it with the sight. If not, they are available from most of the vendors that sell the irises or put a request in the Forsale section.
