is the Daisy AVANTI Triumph 747 Air Pistol a good starter pistol for junior shooters 10 years and older?

We have both the Daisy and the Crosman 2300 available in our club and most (all?) of the juniors prefer the Crosman. I think it comes down to the lever mechanism versus the CO2. I think you can order a custom 2300 from Crosman for about the same price as the Daisy.

I shot a 777 until my P44 arrived. I find it hard to think that a 10 year old would like the weight and nose heaviness of the 747. The shoot well and are stone cold reliable, but my adult arms tire towards the end of a 60.... I cant imagine it being fun for a little one to shoot in a match... Probably fine for non serious shooting, but not light enough in my opinion.

The 717 is lighter, maybe better for younger shooters- but the 747 shoots better than I ever will. (maybe not saying much, but they do shoot!!)
