Need information for Redfield Olympic Rear sights.

Post by Shadrocks »

I just got a Winchester 52D that came equipped with Redfield Olympic sights, but the disk is missing. I plan to purchase a merit disk for the sight, but I don't know the shank size to buy?? Is there a location where I can locate the schematics for this site or does anyone know off hand, what the size is for that sight set?

As it turns out, mine was 7/32 me threads. Not sure if this is standard for those sights, but I took them to my gunsmith and asked him to chase the threads to make sure they were clear and that was the size he used.

7/32-40 was common on US rear sight apertures. I know the Williams sights on my Savage Mk2-FVT are that size. The Kimber 82G was threaded for M9.5x1 but included a 7/32-40 bushing adapter that I use with a Merit disk.
