Rule 4.2.8 - button #2
Only sights manufactured for and sold with that particular Sporter air rifle are permitted, except when sight exchanges are specifically authorized in this rule. Sights not manufactured for and sold with a specific, approved Sporter air rifle (see Rule 4.2.1) are not permitted.
That said ... the El Gamo type sold with the T200 uses standard 18mm inserts. I personally like for my kids to shoot the plastic with round apertures. Usually 3.8-4.2 will be good for any shooter.

Yes you can change the inserts & they can be any brand. National Standard 3P AR Rules 4.2.8, 6th:
ʘ "Any non-adjustable interchangeable front sight apertures or inserts, metallic, synthetic or colored, may be used in approved Sporter air rifle front sights; different sized apertures may be used in different positions."

Also note following 2 sub-rules below:
ʘ "An adjustable iris or adjustable aperture may not be used in the front or rear sight."
ʘ "Metal front sight bases may be substituted for plastic Daisy XSV40/AA T200 front sight bases, provided they have the same dimensions as the original sight base."[/size]

T200 Front Apertures

Post by smbenson »

Just bought two T-200 sight sets from Champion's Choice to mount on a couple of savage .22's that came with 3 apertures. They sell a 3 aperture set for the gamo sights on the T-200 for about $6. Not sure of the sizes. They also told me that their 18mm clear apertures will fit these front sights.
