Getting started in NC

Post by Buckandkelly »

I have a 14 yr old that's interested in competition air rifle, M16, or small firearms. What is the best way to get started? Are there competition trainers available around Raleigh, NC?

Thank you,

Kelly

Kelly,

Your first best bet would be to contact your State CMP director ... usually they have lots of info on clubs across the state and can give you info on all types of competitions in your area:

Sir Walter Gun Club in Creedmoor NC has a Junior Rifle (.22lr) program, info on their website under "Programs":

The North Carolina Rifle and Pistol Association (NCRPA) also has a Junior High Power team:

The Durham Pistol and Rifle Club in Mebane, NC does Junior sporter air rifle on Thursday evenings twice a month:

Some of the high schools have JROTC programs that do air rifle.
