GAMO Sights - What they look like

Post by jhmartin »

I just received my new Crosman sights from Pyramid Air and as previously reported thay are indeed made in Spain. I decided that since I had them out I take some photos so folks can see what the "embossing" we talk about looks like.

HERE is a photo of an Original Gamo and the embossing on the top mount area:

HERE is a photo of a "New Style Gamo" with the empty embossing. This is a Crosman CR-G397T-011 from Pyramid Air. These are $99.99 (5/11/2012)

And the shipping box:

The Chinese Sights do not have the embossing and are smooth surfaced in that area. They are sold under the "Air Venturi" and are $30. You definately get what you pay for here. (No picture as we don't have any)

I had those sights on my boys AA 200. A backup sight is all they are good for.
