Home Practice

Post by ptperson »

I'm trying to do some home practice drills, one of which is dry firing. My question is does anyone use a reduced size target and practice dry firing at something that is scaled to give you the same sight picture as a 50m target would? i.e. if I put up a target 1/10th the size of a comp target at 5m is their any benefit apposed to siting on light switches and cheerio boxes? Are dry fire drills JUST about feeling the trigger and cycling with the rife?

Is anyone else getting really excited for snow?

Now that I've answer my own question I've found what I'm looking for. I'm still excited about the pending snow.

I purchased one of the targets from Devin manufacturing. The target is extremely well constructed for a very fair price. I use mine for plinking only, but i can see how a target such as this could be used for training.
