Great first European match today for both US shooters McKenna Dahl and John Joss (USAMU).

McKenna won the gold medal in R5 (SH2 10m Prone) and John earned silver in R3 (SH1 10m Prone) behind Veronika Vadovicova (SVK, 2008 Paralympic Gold Medalist).

Finals were run in the new ISSF format. MCKenna was locked in a tight battle with Johann Windhofer (AUT) until she finished with a 10.8 and 10.9 on her last two shots to clinch the victory.

John had tense battles with Radoslav Malenovsky (GER) and Michael Schaub (AUT) for second through fourth as others were eliminated from the new final.

This marks the second year for the Pannonia Trophy in Neusiedl-am-See (near Vienna) AUT. The 10m event is temporarily set up in a sport hall by Gretchen Ewen. This year includes a debut of the new Sius optical targets as well as the new ISSF rules.
