Does dry-firing do any harm to the LP5? Dry-firing option is not mentioned in the manual, but is possible when magazine not in place.

Not sure but my LP5 came with an insert to use in the place of the regular 5-shot clip (plastic w/ no holes) to use when dry firing.

Dry fire with out the mag in the chamber and cock by hand(no release of air), or Use the plastic blank Mag(air is released)and gun will cock with each pull of the trigger ( up to 5 pulls then reinsert mag).
