Walther GSP .32 buffer & magazine

Post by Alex »

1) I have a GSP .32. Has anyone tried to fit a rubber buffer at the end of the slide, to dampen down the recoil?
At 25m I use 1.5gr WST powder, which gives me good accuracy. However, I find that after shooting a couple of events my arm gets tired, and I wonder if the recoil can be reduced.
Or has anyone tried any other way?
2) Also, has anyone tried to alter the magazine to hold 6 shots? If so, how did you do it?

Yes, a buffer can be fitted, usually drilled into the back of the bolt and rubber plug fitted.
It stops the slam with faster loads.
Try downloading a little and/or using a lighter projectile.
I use 1.3g N310 behind a 90g w/c.
The mags can be altered for 6 rounds,it requires recessing the plastic end cap and cutting the slot longer in the casing, so the follower can go deeper into the magazine to allow for the sixth round. Also the follower has to be altered to allow more tilt for the extra rim and the base of the follower is shortened to allow it to go deeper. You will also have to shorten the spring to prevent spring bind.

Thank you, David M. That is a big help.
What sort of rubber do you use for the buffer?
How do you install it in the slot at the back of the slide?
Do you have a picture of it?
