Youth airguns, Daisy Primo...anyone have a picture of it?

Post by Len »

In the price list, there is a "Primo" Daisy, that lists for $800...considering the XS-40, is really an air arms s200 powered down which is really a reimport of the CZ200...what might this "primo be at $800 a gun?

Check this sight, it's about half way down. It's a precision air rifle. Never seem one, never heard of anyone owning one. If you buy one, I'd like to know how it shoots.

Do you mean EXACTLY what the title says? That I can't buy these? Are they worth buying anyway?

There are a few of the premio in the US as well as a couple of the more expensive ones.
The pro target was an interesting systems and done up for field target. An accurate rifle but you can buy used pro targets now and again for much less...$600 or so dollars and dial them down and slap on match sights...and ta da! The are VERY common in the UK and are an easy import. This gun followed the RN-10 which was pretty popular.
The main drawback to the Pro Target was the plastic trigger components (not just the body of the trigger but some of the actual engagement surfaces) they would change with the weather and in hot environments they would get mushy.
It's a neat idea but the s300 and s400 are really field guns, accurate but dressing them up as match guns really doesn't seem worth it to me.
The Pro Target has been replaced by the EV2 (Evolution 2) and will probably have a match component at some point, Air Arms will be at the shot show...so maybe they will have some news.
