Factory lube on pellets

Post by Chuck Marsh »

The .177 pellets seem to have some kind of lubricant on them right
from the factory. There is a film on the bottom of the tin also.
Does anybody have any idea of what it is?
I am thinking that perhaps it might be something they use while
swaging them. I would like to know exactly what it is.
Thanks in advance or any replies.

Factory Lubed Pellets

Post by M Hackett »

I recently purchased two PCP guns, an Axsor in .22 and an AA s 200 in .22.
Knowing that PCP guns are better off shooting lubed pellets and being basically lazy,I looked around as I had 3K Webley Lazapells in .22 that I used up.
The Webley Lazapell is a factory lubed version of the H&N FTT at 14,5gr and the Webley Lazadomes are a factory lubed version of the JSB Exact at 16 gr.
The Logun Accupell is a factory lubed CP at 14.3 gr.
All of these pellets are available in .177 as well.

: Thank you for your reply but what I am trying to determine is what the lube actually is.
