Shooting 10 meter rifle how far back should the eye be from

I am now shooting 10 meter and would like to know how far my eye should be from the back sight.Proper eye relief.Thanks.

If you don't have an adjustable iris, then however far away you need to be to have a decent amount of space around the front globe.
Normally you'll be 1-3" from your eye from the rear of the iris, which is almost 2-4" from the actual iris on most models.
