The truth is that I know very little about these compensators (the one for the Morini is similar but without the sight raising block). I suspect that Domino Guns in Italy may have something to do with them.

The more I investigate the more certain I am that Domino Guns were the originators of the pictures.
I am afraid that you will need to contact them for more information, because I know no more.

It looks good, but the ports should vetor the gas to the rearward or side/upward to compensate some more of the recoil. If it is really good, then it should be a hit in EU market! I've never seen one in the IWA or any WC or any good shooters using this!! Any how if you want ones like this I can make you guys ones with personel laser engraving you name on (if you like). Also, you can make a design and I will do the machining for you when I have time because I like to make some new parts. "WWW.allarm.co.th"

YES ....

Post by mako »

I bet you will sell a bunch of them if you go ahead and make them to fit TOZ's ...lots of those around ... and Morini.
It would seem best to have the last holes facing forward for max. efficiency as a diffuser, ie. diverting the blast away from the exiting bullet ... but then as you say ... have some pointing back and up to counter recoil.
Keep in mind that it will require cleaning ...
... and should not be too heavy. Any weight that far out on a long barrel feels heavy.
Give us a tenative price ... list it ... and ask for pre-orders.
Me first .... :-) ... a Toz model ... thanks ...

Please tell me the price that you guys are willing to pay. I meet Scott at least once at year (at the IWA) (on 2003 at the IWA and the Shot Show). Keep contact with the e-mail I gave, after my engineer have time we will send you a design.
Sincerely Yours,
Sam

Sam,
Thanks for your comments on the compensator. I'm very interested in trying on my Morini CM-84E a compensator similar to that featured on the Hammerli FP-10, made of aluminum and of very light weight. Is this something you would be able to do? I would like to have some idea about some of the technical aspects of the machining and finishing, ie do you normally use metric or imperial measurements to drive your machines, can you do anodizing to match an existing colour like the bluing on my pistol, etc.
Please respond here as I'm sure there are others with similar interests.

Extend Toz sight radius?

Post by Mark »

I wonder how many people would buy one of these just to extend their sight radius?

Mark,
Most of the compensators for modern FP (less than 10 years designed) well designed and well made now a day. But I can understand you guys feeling of new stuff on the pistol. I have many shooters friends come to me and ask to do this those that sometime and I am happy to make them the parts.
To answer you if I can make it or not. I say yes I can. But I do not recommend you to change it because it is quite good already. We could not do machining of turbine blade because I only have 4-axis CNC machine, beside that we can do most! We can do anodize and laser engrave. If you make a design I will engrave you name on the part!!! Please e-mail the drawing or draft of what you want to have!
