for ISSF Rifle, The Ways of the Rifle seems to be great! Centershot and other places have it.
for Mental, Lanny Basham's "With Winning in Mind" books and tapes are great

I found a very good book called "Successful Pistol Shooting" by Frank Leatherdale and Paul Leatherdale. It is superbly written and illustrated, and leans toward competition shooting rather than recreational shooting. It does not dwell at length on the mental aspects of shooting, but it does cover the fundamentals well. It is really worth owning.
I also agree that Lanny Basham's With Winning In Mind is important, but it only touches on competitive shooting specifically. It's more of a general theory of winning.

Mental aspects of shooting? May I also suggest:
Ask Center Shot if they have any copies left of "On the Training of Shooters". Written by the author of "Ways..." it covers a great deal of the various aspects of the mental and emotional aspects of our game. The approach and mindset is quite different than you will find in most TT posts and mirrors the way many of the best athletes approach things. These are areas that are covered lightly in "Ways.." and that are intended for the second volume of "Ways..." if it is ever written and published. Non-USA TT readers may contact the British NSRA for the book.
TT readers from the USA may also want to purchase a copy of the new and revised edition of the mental training manual published by the Sport Psychology department of the USOC. Cost is US $10.00 I believe.
Look also to the writings of Terry Orlick and James Loehr.
Finally, Body Mind Mastery by Dan Millman is an excellent and accessible resource. Inexpensive, too! Although our sport is never mentioned once, the entire book is about our sport. Read this book and transform your shooting!
"Feel Center!"

John Dreyer's excellent web site is invaluable. If you are not a bullseye shooter, nor even a pistol shooter of any type, you still will benefit greatly from the resources John has provided. It's all the same game in our heads and in our hearts!

When was the last time you read that book. With Winning In Mind covers the mental game and is the bases of Mental Management. It uses example from varies sports, not just shooting. To say it only touches on competitive shooting is flat out wrong.
