Re: Need Help to Diagnose problem with my Match Guns MGH1

I got a complete regulator unit from Stefano and just swapped it out. When I disassembled the old regulator, there was alot of what looked like white lithium grease in it. Maybe if I cleaned it up and restacked the washers, it would be back to working. Another thing to note is to make sure the regul...

Re: Need Help to Diagnose problem with my Match Guns MGH1

I had a very similar problem with mine last year. The velocity started dropping then got to the point where the pellet wouldn't leave the barrel. Played with the regulator a bit and it would be fine for a day or so then back to not working. Bought a new regulator from Stephano, changed it out and no...

Re: Fun new toy - DruLov Model 75

I have one too. (And a model 70) Great to shoot. But I wish someone made a grip for it. The stock one is unusable.

Re: WMG 2017 New Zealand

I've done the WMG in Edmonton and Sydney. I really enjoyed those. I emailed WMG for the Italian games, when at the time they had no shooting events. Eventually they did include ISSF shooting and also a bunch of Black Powder events. Unfortunately, the date conflicted with something else I was obliged...

Re: Interesting news from Matchguns regarding MG2 and MGH1

I would suggest loading up a magazine with the ammunition you are having problems with. Then with your finger against the cartridge, depress the rear of the magazine latch enough to let the cartridge start to exit the magazine. Control the feed with your finger and watch and see if the magazine latc...

Re: Interesting news from Matchguns regarding MG2 and MGH1

On an aside MG-2rf consistently squish Lapua OSP even when spotlessly clean. Could you describe the result a bit more? Like bend it like a banana? I had occurrences where I thought my MG-2 "hated" certain brands. But it turned out that the hook on the magazine would actually catch on the ...

Re: Question on NY pistol laws from a Canadian

Hmmm. My GSP tricked out for NRA sounds like a no-no. My MG-2 for ISSF is probably a no-no, but too weird for any law enforcement officer to readily identify as Assault-like. And my SSP? Probably also too unconventional? The magazine doesn't go ahead of the trigger... Maybe I'll only shoot Free Pist...

Question on NY pistol laws from a Canadian

So, I have a BATF form 6NIA and I enjoy going to matches in the USA. Geezers at clubs near the border keep telling me "Yup, we used to go to matches in New York. But the new SAFE act makes all our GSPs & Pardinis 'assault weapons' so we don't go." Can people from NY chime in and tell m...

Okay, so just a little update on my 45 with the sudden hard trigger pull. Indeed, I did just tweak the adjustment screw in front of the trigger. How much and what direction? I just don't know. I turned it one direction and the trigger felt way too light, so I moved it back. I haven't had the trigger...

PC45S

Hi! I dug up this thread and thought maybe I could ask my questions here. 1) I have a .45 Pardini, but it doesn't say GT45 on it. It says PC45S. Is this an earlier iteration or a completely different pistol? The 5" scope rail fit on it no problem. Your RINK grip fit fine, except around the slid...

Thanks Murph. I initially thought that it might be a slightly out of battery situation. I tapped on the back of the slide and nothing moved and the trigger pull was still stuck. I've tried dry-firing & trying to see manually if the slide is out of battery and causing the feeling: the heaviness d...

Pardini 45 questions & trouble shooting.

Hello. I have a .45 Pardini, but the frame says "Mod. P.C.45S". Is this just a different name for a GT 45? From Pardini USA, I bought a scope mount for it, and it fits fine. Also a Rink grip; it fit the pistol fine, but I had to remove some wood around the slide latch, to get it to work. M...

I was all excited to go. But then the Canadian nationals got scheduled for the same time. Very disappointed. And for what it's worth, I don't think an Air Pistol counts towards the 3 gun limit. As far as I know, air guns can go unrestricted throughout the EU. I think the limit only applies to cartri...

I've done the opposite: I've gotten rid of all my large pistol primer .45's. No reason other than all my other pistol calibres I reload for are small pistol primer. (.32 S&W Long, .380 ACP, .38spcl, .30 Mauser, 9x19mm) It just streamlined my logistics to make everything small primer. When I swit...

I'm glad the shooting has been reinstated. When it was dropped, I emailed them. The response I got was basically "Naw, nobody is interested". And now there's a whole slew of events. I'm looking forward to it! Maybe "Match Gun" will have a booth there. That'd be awesome.

I've been experimenting for the last while with keeping my feet parallel. Points pointed neither in nor out. I bend my knees a little and feel pretty stable in this position. Am I a weirdo for a adopting a parallel-feet stance?

Thanks very much for posting! This is very relevant to my interests. I went to the WMG in Sydney, from Canada, and getting there with my pistols wasn't that big a deal. Just filling out forms. I hope they change their mind for Turin, as I am (was?) planning to go! I shall join in the email barrage.

Once you are up and running, I hope you have some ISSF-type matches. Depending on where in NE Illinois you are, I'd totally drive down to compete.
