Re: Bleiker vs KK500

Forgot to say the groups when I tested Center X at Bisley were also not good, my friend alongside me testing a G & E bought 5000 rounds.

I didn't buy any.

Re: Bleiker vs KK500

Hemmers Said and I quote In isolation you might just think this was a "Friday Afternoon Special", but I gather there have been quite a few new Bleikers performing poorly at Eley's UK test range in the past two years My Bleiker has been to Eley UK three times in the last three years, the la...

Re: Rifle sighting question

I'd figured the foresight needed to go up by 2.5mm, so a 4mm block would be the closest and simplest. However, if the whole sightline can go up, a set of adjustable raisers would be best. I also tried adjustable raisers as well, but I personally was not happy with having to raise my cheek piece up ...

Re: Rifle sighting question

Using simple similar triangles concept a 1mm sight drop will give 50/L mm at the 50 metre target where L is the sight radius in metres. 3 inches for 1mm change with a radius less than a metre is spot on. So... 1 metre sight radius with 4mm riser block on foresight will drop 200mm (8 inches) at 50 m...

Re: Rifle sighting question

Thanks guys! I have an extra 4mm block that I will put under the front sight. I think that will help with my issue. I appreciate the advice as always. Try the 4mm block under the front sight especially as you have one, but in my opinion it will be too much as I reduced the height of my foresight by...

Re: Getting rid of prone 8 ring wobble-how tight hold w/fore

Thanks all for the advise. Its been hard to get into this sport at such an old age, 60. My eyes aren't good enough now for iron sights. Can only hold rifle for 5 minutes before having to put it down. Though, i did shot my 1st 200/200 conventional at 100 yards! (Though i think that it is easier than...

Re: How to clean out your target rifle?

Bleiker recommends cleaning after every use, with intensive cleaning after 200-300 rounds with a bronze brush

Re: Nesom extension tube

I am using a Nesom 12 inch tubes with a 22mm Nesom sight on the front of it. I bought a few cheaper plastic foresight elements to experiment with before buying a 5.2 Centra High End, I also have a 4mm riser on the Anschutz Canting rear sight. The reason that I fitted a riser block was to center the ...

Re: Bolt shim?

My 2 cents, but that looks like a spring to me. You might not want to make that out of brass or any other material besides spring steel. Go to a good hardware store and try to match it or look online at McMaster-Carr or similar. HTH Joel It is not a spring it is a shim that is used to reduce the he...

Re: ISSF supported seminar on Mental training for shooters

I do agree with Rutty that we except training on the cheap in the UK and robf is correct in what he says about us spending a lot of money on the shiny bits. Perhaps we should be also concentrating on the other aspects of training. I for one will be attending via the on line/webcast as for me persona...

Re: Rifle sight riser blocks

If you will look on Ebay using Feinwerkbau riser blocks, you will find a man named Andrew in England. He makes what look to be very well made riser blocks in multiple heights. Don. I have a few of Andrews Riser Blocks and when I spoke to him last week he said he was getting loads of orders from Ame...

I personally think this will be worth taking a look at.

How often does a Club Shooter get a chance of finding out what goes on with the training of the Elite Shooters.

Re: Matching Ammo to Rifle Question

I would like to my comments about batch testing ammunition. In February this year I went to the Eley factory in Birmingham in the UK and tested 24 different batches of Tenex. To say I was surprised was an understatement, as the variations between the different batches was unbelievable, with the best...

Re: Freeland Friction Washers

Is it the old fiber washers you have? Champion Shooters in Ohio has a new setup where they use a spring washer between some large flat washers. It works pretty well. They sell just the washers and it is not an expensive upgrade. I upgraded mine. Thanks for the information Yes the Old stand that I h...

Freeland Friction Washers

I have just bought a second hand Original Freeland scope stand, which came with a saddle head. I want to replace the saddle head with a Freeland Zoom head. My question is, which way do you guys recommend fitting the friction washers to the scope and stand so that the scope stays in place and doesn't...

Kim

If you look on the Anschutz site you can find information on it as to when your barrel was made.

There is also an option on there where they will find out the information for you, unfortunately they will charge for this !!!

I have the same polariser as you have but as Rob says to use two together the light would have to be extremely bright.
I only use the front one on it's own when the sun is shining on the target to reduce the glare
