Re: 3P vs Standing

Pete is 100% correct. You must find a way to shoot SB. At 14/15 learning how to shoot matches, how to win matches, how to recover from mistakes etc are important skills. They can be learned in 3p air if the oppertunity is better. Great 3p air shooters cant shoot SB but good SB shooters literally can...

Re: Remington 541x is it sufficient enough to compete in 4-H

I dont mind the slam, ive ate dogfood to get by, i know where i came from. I understand budgets and being responsible. I also understand winning 'state championships' a $1000 budget isnt going to win, sorry. 1500 might find a used gun that can get it done, especially if sumbodys creative. 2000 will ...

Re: Jr ROTC Rules the Camp Perry Open Sporter Class

The sporter teams your refering to and the second place precision team are all from the great state of illinois. We have the richest farmland in the world. Because of the supernutrients in the soil our shooters see better and are less twitchy than the rest of you!! With this base we dont need good e...

Re: Flying with your Precision Rifles?

Like many we have flown a lot. Dont say any more than you need to. Dont call it an air rifle, just call it a rifle. Air cylinders scare them more than 'real' guns. Sumbody over 18 will be in possession of the gun untill airline takes possession and sumbody over 18 will be on the other end picking mi...

Re: ISSF Rules - 2nd Printing

Is the palm rest restriction of 200mm new in 50m? I dont remember it. Somebody is still going to have to explain some of the weight rules. Especially what fundamental shape of the stock means. The stock i believe can be 60mm wide. If the buttstock on a fwb 700 is 20mm wide can i add weight to the si...

Lets be realistic, the usa isnt going to send a team to the olympics, we will send the winner of our mar trials and our war trials. They will be our team even if they hate each other

Re: TECHRO Palm blocks

Two things to think about w a tuner. They take a lot of time and effert and ammo to find the right setting. Are you at a high enough level where investing time on making the gun shoot better is more important than spending the time making the shooter better? You can tune a tuner for bad groups just ...

Everything tim said. Will add that if it hurts on the thumb move it a mm or two away from thumb, opposite if it hurts finger side. That's assuming wrist is straight, and hand position is correct. Ive bought a lot of bits over last 8yrs, most im not sure were worth it. This hs i have no doubt is a go...

Re: 2017-2018 USAS JOs now running by ISSF rules

Joel, i think its most fair to keep jr olympic qualifier in integer. A lot of us still shoot on two 12 bull targets. I know orion can score them in decimal. BUT integer scores are higher using electronics and decimal scores are significantly higher. The newer, shorter times make it harder, changing ...
