Re: Pellet performance vs cost

You just wait, another one will come along soon and ask "what make; size; weight, pellet is BEST for my AP? "

Re: Hammerli Single support

You may also try: American Vintage Airgun Forum. A lot of very knowledgeable vintage airgun collectors/restorers on that forum may be able to help, but I was told some time ago they are not accepting new members, things may have change, give that a try. I also have a Single in factory case, haven't ...

Re: At last ! FAS 6007 now in production

I own both a 602 and 603, from what I can see, its practically impossible to convert a .22 cal. 602 into .32 cal, the biggest hurdle is the magazine, the 603 mag are much larger and longer in size to accommodate the bigger .32 cartridge, the spring are stronger too, to push the heavier rounds up ont...

Re: .22 short target pistols

I think the reason for some seller asking for premium price for an obsolete pistol is mainly due to lack of knowledge regard the rules for the use of these pistol has changed. Most of these seller are NOT active target shooters, some are wheeler dealers come into possession of one of these pistol by...

Re: .22 Short Rapid Fire - Which has the better reputation?

I have a Walther OSP, never try the Pardini, the OSP has been very reliable when fed with TARGET VELOCITY ammo.

IMHO 100% reliability is more important than accuracy in the rapid fire game.

.22 short target ammo are getting hard to find, I'm down to less than 500 rds.

Re: Affordable 10 meter match air rifles FWB 300s or similar

Another option would be the FWB 601, a SSP single stroke pneumatic, not expensive, parts are still available, easy to maintain and repair, better yet the sight didn't move when the gun is fired, when I switch from FWB 300 to the 601 way back when, my score jump 10 points.

Re: FAS SP602

I own and still occasionally shot my 602, serial # in the 3000 range, so its not new, bought it about 10 years ago used, and put at least 10,000 rds thru it, still working well, now its my backup gun since I acquired a used Pardini SPE. Parts may still be able to obtain from factory, I order some ba...

Re: 10 meter pistol scoring?

We use Kruger targets for our winter monthly indoor league match at our club, each shooter get 2 sighter and 12 record targets, unlimited sighter, 5 shots per record target, usually we don't have much trouble scoring, on very rare occasion where a double shot will need a closer look.

Re: FWB 601 Trigger Adjustment

IIRC you don't need to take the barrel and action out of the stock to adjust trigger weight, there are a couple? of knurl wheels in the front of the trigger guard, one of them is for trigger weight , right to increase, left to reduce. I shot a FWB 600 for a few years long time ago, I think that how ...

Re: Rapid Fire Pistol

Years ago, when rapid fire pistols are .22 short and targets are paper, I occasionally help run the match at my club, previous posters has already laid out how it should be run, we usually patch and score after a 10 shots string, as we score we also use a 2 sided colour disc, red and white, mounted ...

Cut a small piece of plastic like those from a old credit card and tape it onto the trigger, after you find the ideal position, glue the plastic to the trigger.

Re: POI jumps north

Other poster have gave you a number of good suggestions, however I still think the cause of shifting POI is your barrel, you may have one of those barrel when its cold and clean, need more than a few shots to settle down, you can try to bench rest it and see when the shift occur and how many shots l...

Re: POI jumps north

A few question, How many sighting shot you made before move onto record? How old is the barrel? How often do you clean the barrel? Did the shifting POI usually happen after certain number of shots? and the POI change back to normal after you made a sight adjustment and fired a number of shots? Assum...

Re: Light/heavy pellets for pistol/rifle

Lighter pellets are mainly for lower muzzle velocity airguns, so the the it will punch a cleaner hole on the target for ease of scoring. Some older AP can barely make 400 f/s when using 550 mg pellets, lighter pellets will gain an extra 20-30 f/s velocity. Questions regarding what size/weight/brand....

Re: Air Venturi V10 Match Pistol vs FAS 6004?

Haven't seen a V10 before, but from the pictures ita looks exactly like my 25 yrs old El Gamo Compact. May be its a case of re-branding under a new name, as a matter of fact, the review call it "compact" a couple of times. From the link it seems the V10 had some improvements over the Compa...

Re: pistol pellets v rifle pellets

Thanks for the clarification, not sure what kind of AR is the OP's daughter using, most European match AR such as FWB, Walther...etc are set @ m/v of 170-175 m/s, about 560-575 f/s, a lighter pellet can gain another 20-30 f/s and that will bring it quite close to the limit, the OP may want to keep t...
