Re: Interpreting Targets — Rings of 9s

I agree with PirateJohn. I believe you are unwittingly looking through your front sight at the target and, as Rover would say, you are trying to ambush the 10 ring on your way past it. I have an AP target I shot with a beautiful ring of holes in the 9 ring! I still have that problem but am working t...

Would so love to buy but illegal for ordinary stiffs in Australia. Firearm becomes a semi-auto longarm.

Re: Air pistol training routine for an oldie?

Hi kevinjab, and welcome. Kevin's post translated by Dr Google: It is my first post in this forum, as you will see I am from Argentina, I am excited by what you say, I am 63 years old and I shoot with a CO2 FW C20, a beautiful weapon that I bought used, I am going to take into account all your recom...

Re: Feinwerkbau 2024

I've been waiting on a trigger blade from Walther since January 2022 and am still waiting. Local entities are unable to do anything to hasten the delivery. I am now on my second local supplier: “6-8 weeks from order placement” back in mid-October last year…

Re: RF Pistol Weights - Schumann and EVO-4

My colleague has just pointed out that one has to supply one's own barrel for the Schumann/Evo-4 shroud and the one he tried had a standard (SP) barrel fitted. He'd be interested to hear of any experience using the same rig but with an RF barrel.

Re: RF Pistol Weights - Schumann and EVO-4

My colleague appears reluctant to post to the forum but has given me the following to pass on. "My colleague, who has used a version of the Schumann barrel, said it is very clever in how it truncates the recoil potentially leaving more time for seeing the sights. In Australia we first saw it ar...

https://schiesssport-billharz.eu/2644207-Vorholfeder Judith is nice to deal with. Bear in mind, shipping is via DHL ($$$$). With the part number, 2644207, you might be able to source on from Champion Choice or Earl's Walther. Cheers, Dave DHL to Australia: €60! For a €10 piece which weighs in at (s...

Re: The new Margolin thread

Unless you've already done it, make sure you file the edges with an outward (towards the front) bevel, i.e. wider on the target side than the shooter side. Also, it is worth noting that not all the Margolin parts are interchangeable. I found that the rear sight screw thread seems to have been change...

Good luck with spares. I have been trying to obtain a replacement trigger blade for my GSP two-stage trigger unit for nearly three years now and still no sign of it.

Re: Free Pistols are still being made .. ?

We're now down to only three FP regulars at our club of 500+ members. Our shooting scene is changing. We are a competitive pistol shooting club, just north of Sydney, and traditionally (since founded in 1964) focussed on the Olympic/ISSF disciplines. A lot of the new shooters joining the club now se...

Re: Shaking limbs loose before shooting?

Interesting that in the video clip, Olena was apparently advocating a six o'clock hold (where she sketched out the sight picture), not sub-six and she did not tell the presenter what to do with his non-shooting hand: he kept putting it up behind his back which is generally not recommended as it's an...

Re: IZh35M going full-auto..

Has anybody tried hardchroming the gun to counter the softness of the metal? If so, how effective was it? Sparky, I'm not sure that hard chroming would work because a soft substrate might/would result in the chrome flaking. However, if one were to strip the pistol completely to carry out hard chrom...

Re: RF Pistol Weights - Schumann and EVO-4

I have a shooting colleague who borrowed one of these Schumann RF barrels. He took it apart but there didn't seem to be anything magical about it. No special weights and springs - nothing! Difficult to determine what makes it worth the money.

+1 for Dina. Just learn to lock your wrist and then you don't need to bother with these side bar widths.

Re: FWB P44 absorber problem?

I'm sorry you didn't get any response to your two posts on this subject. It's a little difficult to determine what happened to your P44 (I have one) when you gave it “some small beatings” - hopefully you meant some small taps. I guess that was down on the grip and was intended to dislodge the pellet...
