Re: Pardini SP trigger adjustment

Shoot relatively soft lead out of your 32 Sp and you will never have to clean your barrel again.

Re: Buck Mark .22LR sight adjustment

If you want it even more accurate, turn the sight all the way to one side and then all the way to the other and divide by the number of clicks but 10 will probably do it for you. Make sure you write it down afterwards like I do and put it somewhere you won't forget, unlike I do. I have a list in my ...

Re: Buck Mark .22LR sight adjustment

The best thing you can do is measure how far the sight moves with 10 clicks with a caliper and then divide by 10 so you know how far one click is. Then measure exactly how far apart the front and back sight are. Then find out how many times that length goes into the distance you want. I suggest 50 y...

If you are still fairly young they will likely help but if you are old they will definitely make things worse.

Re: Pardini HP 32, ammo talk

Not only do you need a .314 bullet when shooting lead in a Pardini 32 ACP but you also need an expander that is shoved into the case after sizing around ,25 inches deep that is .314 inches in size. It is better to try to keep the BHN of the lead bullets around 8-9. If they are too hard accuracy gets...

Re: Pardini HP 32, ammo talk

All brands of 32 ACP brass differ with Remington and Magtech being the best because the necks stay the same thickness around .250 of an inch deep while all the rest that I have measured start to get thicker much sooner. This is why I designed the 62 grain bullet to have the length of base that it ha...

Re: Anyone using Armscor Std Vel 22 ammo?

I recently bought some Aguila and tested it and the CCI with the Armscor for velocity. It was in a 7 inch model 41. Armscpor 1085 Aguila 1065 CCI standare 1004 The only reason I would buy the Aguila over the Armscor is if it were cheaper. It is boxed better than the armscor but that is minor. I woul...

Re: 32 SW long dies

I have had better results with a roll crimp but others who are,(in the game, knowing what they are doing have had better results with a taper crimp. In my gun, by the time a taper crimp would feed reliably in my Benelli it was too tight for accuracy. Either way as said in the post above, don't distu...

Re: 32 SW long dies

You are right Greg. It is stunning how crooked a gun can shoot just because the shell casing is swaging the bullet to a size that is too small for the barrel. 32's and 9mm both suffer from these conditions and maybe some more that I am not familiar with. 9mm and 32 ACP specifically because the cases...

Re: 32 SW long dies

One more thing to pay attention to is brass. Some brass starts to get thicker on the insides closer to the top than others. Also some is quite a bit thicker too. If it is manufactured for a SWC bullet for a revolver where the bullet doesn't seat very deeply it doesn't matter. For a full wadcutter bu...

Re: Anyone using Armscor Std Vel 22 ammo?

I need to update this because the misfires I had with Armscor was not due to the poor quality of the ammo but because the part that holds the firing pin in my model 41 was edging forward either because of wear on the pin that holds it in or the hole that the pin goes into. After replacing those part...

Re: Pardini scope ring question

I just install my rings as far forward and as far rearward as possible so when tight they immediately rest on where the curve begins. You have to tighten slowly and constantly keep pressure so it is against the curve not not actually on it. I do this with all guns if possible.

Re: Pardini HP 32, ammo talk

So far the only PITA I have experienced is difficulty finding my brass among all the 22 shells after firing. I can't get them to all go into my rather large net because some go straight up but I think I can put up with it considering it only takes 1.5 grains of powder per shot and only 62 grains of ...

Re: Steyr Evo 10 as first pistol?

I thought when I bought my LP5 that it was quite expensive. Almost $1000. A good thing I bought it when I did and certainly don't regret it. Sunbeam, is your name connected to the Sunbeam Tiger. I have a Mark II.

Re: Steyr Evo 10 as first pistol?

I bought an LP5 a long time ago and think it is a great pistol. I have fired an LP10 with one of the newer triggers but not as new as the electronic. The LP10 trigger was certainly better than my LP5 which I would guess had to be different because it was a semi auto model. It has lasted a long time ...

Re: Hammerli 280 32 S&W Long Barrel

Cast yourself some Saeco #323 100 grain bullets from an alloy of around 8-9 BHN and lube them with soft lube. You will need to expand your cases to .314 also and pay attention to which brand of cases you use because some of them get thicker the deeper you go and will squash the base of the bullet. Y...

Re: Pardini SP Bullseye Edition ammo choice

It seems that every pistol is an entity to itself as far as which ammo it likes. Some ammo consistently does better in most guns but no guarantees. For some people the less the recoil without alibis is the best they can use even though it might not be as accurate. Seldom do rounds lack decent accura...

Re: Pardini SP Bullseye Edition ammo choice

A bump inside the barrel is easy to get and it might not be visible from the outside. Right after I bought a S&W 41 with a 5 inch barrel I loaned it to someone and they shot it in matches for about 6 months. They were a beginner so their scores were only in the sharpshooter range so the inept ac...
