a couple things to consider

NCAA probably hasnt gotten back to you because they are still researching an answer.
However, I have heard of shooting helping people with dyslexia and ADD out because of the focus required for the sport. so maybe a trial run without the meds? just a suggestion.

jacket buttons

It is important to have all 5 buttons in standing. it is from the buttons that the jacket is able to provide the support needed.
here is a list of the position and the buttons that I use
Prone: top two
Standing: All 5 (and my scores drop if I forget to button one)
Kneeling: Top one

ANNAPOLIS, Md. -- The Navy rifle team performed well and cruised past John Jay at this weekend's NCAA Qualifier. The Mids outscored John Jay 4663 - 3699 to claim the easy victory. Navy was led by Chris Schneider, who recorded a season-best 1174 on a pair of 587s in smallbore and air rifle. Matt Albr...

I know nothing about monard but I love my Thune suit and if you go to a national match over half the people shooting in the finals are wearing Thune

p70

no and no. you have to buy the shorter forend seperately, however if she has decent positions with the longer one...it is possible to shoot with that. for the handstop try attaching a piece of wood to the part that would normally go on the rail. The p70 is a pretty good rifle...the two theings you a...

have him try altering his position so his weight is a little more the the left of his body....once he gets over the "I falling over" sensation he may be more locked into place. doesnt work with everyone but its just a suggestion. Also, see if he can figure out where the movement is comming...

Highpower vs air

I do a considerable amount of dry firing. In the end though, it is always best to put some holes in the paper to be sure you are really getting the job done. I have found dry firing to be a great help in my offhand practice, but one area that has been vexing me lately is POI shift in the prone posi...

definately go with a full sized rifle. Your son wouldnt even be able to shoot an exteneded junior...it would be too light.
Have you checked into any 4 h groups in your area? Are there an in a nearby state? You could even start your own 4 H shooting club.

jr rifles

your 14 yearold...depending on his or her size could probably use a full sized rifle, I started on a full sized at 13or 14. Basically if he or she is above about 5'4" it is probably even better for them to have a full sized as opposed to a junior. Also a junior would be too big for your 5 yearo...

sporter vs precision

I dont believe that Sporter is in anyway a bad thing, it is GREAT for getting young kids into the sport and getting their inner position down. However, by the time highschool rolls around the kids that have been shooting sporter for a few years should be encouraged to start investing in precision. O...

I think the problem with participation is that shooting doesnt appeal to kids because it isn't in the spotlight. Kids have dreams of being on tv and having people cheer for them and possibly even go to the olympics. When was the last time you saw a blockbuster based on a rifle shooter? Or even a maj...

I've entertained the idea of looking into buying one of these newer models. I decided that the 9003 was probably not enough of an upgrade from my ANS 2002. The FWB looks like a very nice rifle (being in Alaska I havent had the chance to see these rifles up close). However, from looking at the rifle ...

Re: Walther air rifle trouble

Hello, I was wondering if anyone had any insight as to the cause of the following problem. I currently own a Walther LG-300 alutec. I have had it for 2 years and recently a recoil problem has developed. It is affecting my offhand scores dramatically. I haven't changed anything such as pellets. I wi...

here's what I did

Here's what I did... I went to the NCAA website and found out what schools had teams. Then I decided which out of those schools I was interested in. Dont let rank sway your deicsion too much....you will get more out of a school that fits you than a good team. You have to wait until the summer betwee...
