Re: Thoughts on reforming RF
My big point is that the current RF target set makes it impossible for a competitor to own his personal, portable RF bay. Something he can stuff into the trunk of his car, take to the range, practice, and take home. Shooting a match? Everybody brings their bays, and you can have four, six, or even ...

Re: Thoughts on reforming RF
A means to make it popular would be to create a match the duffer brigade can shoot with their 9mm - 8, 6, 4 seconds with two hands is doable. Then they can move on to one hand and .22 I'm surprised CISM hasn't become popular as a means of progressing 9mm duffers into target shooting. As for targets ...

Well I had two Toz 49s for a while.
Typically an S+W with an Aristocrat rib will have a hard time fitting in the ISSF box.

Its the same with Chinese cars - good luck getting parts.
I know a couple of people who have had to scrap ~five year old cars due to parts non-availability.

Re: For you point buying morons....
You cannot shoot precision pistol with a pistol that is not a precision tool. A called 10 must be a 10 every time, or else your brain cannot be trained to recognize the shooting processes, images, and feelings that create success. A better pistol with better ergonomics and a better trigger only hel...

I think its important to put your joints through full range of movement, but not those sort of swivelling moves apparently.
Stretching is supposedly better than those sort of flapping moves, but what do I know.

On mine I think a ring wore into the chamber rim at about the same rate as the breach face advanced.
Unfortunately these guns are basically junk, excellent design but terrible manufacturing quality.
Most parts aren't hardened, they wear and deform, there's not much to do about it.

In the top two corners?
I'm not familiar with GT9s but seems a bit odd.

Millet ceased manufacture a while ago, you can occasionally find them used. Be careful bending them unless properly fixed, they can snap. Bowen Classic Arms make/made a replacement but won't export, maybe you can get someone in the US to export if they still make them. https://www.bowenclassicarms.c...

Re: scale down targets
Its important to set the targets at the right height, so your gun is at exactly the height it would be on an actual range shooting at the full distance.

Re: FAS SP 602 magazine disassembly
They can be dismantled relatively easily by spreading the sides either side of the cross bar and sliding it out.
As far as I remember I used a flat blade screwdriver of the right width and twisting it to spread the sides.

It help you not notice that when the shot breaks, you can detect the overtravel much more easily than the change in pressure.

Re: Thread on the rod included with Pardini SP/HP?
5-40 seems like a common thread for rods and brushes, this thread would have been machine turned, 5-40 and 1/8 BSW are very very close, if the thread gauge had the right pitch but wouldn't fit my guess is its just a slightly malformed 5-40.
The point is I'm right.

Re: ISSF Ammunition Rules
Here people just have to fire some bullets in the direction of the target
For my club it is north-east
This way it is very easy for people to get their gun.

Re: ISSF Ammunition Rules
Here the sole reason you can use to own a pistol is competition shooting. So people use this as a loophole to obtain their dream gun - typically a 9mm and often a Glock. Is it possible to shoot ISSF Centrefire with a 9mm Glock? Yes it is. Typical score is ~150/600. Should we be tolerating these peop...

Re: ISSF Ammunition Rules
Thats great but my club does not have 'combat shooting', the closest it has is 'Service' which is a bit like PPC.
But PPC is hard work so people prefer to shoot Centrefire to achieve their minimum attendance requirements to own a 9mm
