"Decent" air pistol (Daisy 747) for small shooter?

I have an old 747 but it is way too heavy for my son (50" tall and 50 pounds) to hold even with 2 hands. He currently shoots it off a rest. What else might be out there with similar accuracy that is lighter and not CO2 or PCP? SSP would be ideal. Prefer not spring piston. It should also either ...

We have 9 LG300s and have never had a problem except when someone used the 200 bar (shorter) adapter on a 300 bar DIN valve.

I don't have a rulebook in front of me to give you the ref, but air rifles cannot have spirit levels anywhere.

He was referring to NCAA schools, which would be TCU, UT-EP, Nebraska, Air Force, UM-KC, Nevada and Alaska. So there really are 7.

Even though the dollar sucks nowadays, I'd urge you to go on this trip. I see Scott already linked to my journal from the first one he did in 2001. He helped me take some of my rifle team over last year, too. If you want a very memorable vacation, this is it, even if your spouse isn't into shooting....

Junior air pistols

What are the smallest precision air pistols made that are decent quality? This would be for my 8 year old. I have a Daisy 747 now, which isn't all that small or accurate.

Either of those can extend with additional spacers (washers or larger nuts will work OK for the 601). You will need longer bolts though, which may be hard to come by the metric sizes depending upon where you live. You should be able to use an ALU buttplate if you wish. I would go with the 601 betwee...

ROTC (Army at least) dropped the marksmanship requirement after the 1984 school year I believe (I have the memo somewhere). We lost a ton of teams within the next 3 years.

The issue is two-fold: Xavier's range requires a major renovation. Xavier was balking at the price tag for it (in the six figure area). I can see that but they were also making it out to be much worse than it is. The work could easily be done for half of what the bid was and the contractor said that.

Though I haven't updated it yet this year (Duquesne is gone), my page has all the NCAA teams. http://www.rose-hulman.edu/Users/groups/RifleTeam/Public/HTML/OtherPages/links.html You'll have to contact the coaches to see what scholarships they might have for a foreign student. There may be full schol...

also that the number of schools that have rifle teams has dwindled each year to such a low number that it is difficult to get a full schedule also more schools are leaving or are thinking of leaving this sport and none have joined in the last few years. I may have to register for that forum just to...

Look at Walther, too

You should also check out the Walther LG300 with the ambi stock. We've got 2 of the older LG210 (pneumatic) and 4 LG300 with that stock. The Walther had been significantly cheaper as well but with the terrible exchange rate nowadays, it doesn't matter much probably. Champion's Choice is the importer...

One of our club rifles is an "X" prefixed 16 series, having checked the bolt there is no slot on the underside. I'd always heard that the "X" was just to denote the upgrade of the bolt and trigger; as Anschutz still called them 14s. Our 1607 does not shoot noticeably better than...

Re: USA-50 Scoring

I don't know if it's totally right, but we've always scored the 10's with the outward plug, and the rest of the target with the inward plug. Again, I don't know if it's totally right, but that's how we do it. The outward plug must be used for all scoring rings that it can be. They put in a note abo...
