Re: incomplete filling of anschutz 8002 cylinder

My vote is the manometer on the rifles cylinder is not accurate. Simple test, fill another cylinder from your tank and see what it registers. Or tank your cylinder and try filling it from a different tank. Or buy an gauge for your tank. I've had many shooters and coaches at the range complain "...

Re: Washing pellets

When I mount my daughters rifle in a machine rest, shoot 10 shots at 10 meters, bring the target back and I can't drop a fresh pellet through the hole that 10 shot group went through, I seriously doubt that washing the pellets then re-lubing them would make a better group. Buy quality pellets, test ...

Never mind, I just pulled a Marlin 2000 out. The Anschutz sights will fit the 3/8" dovetail but to mount them out of the way of the bolt handle you will have to put them too far forward. I don't see how it will work without machining a custom base. Better off in the long run to just upgrade the...

We had the Annual Spring Fling Ken Quandahl Memorial match a few weeks ago at the NRA Range. Several junior teams canceled they cited a lack of ammo. Yesterday afternoon at 4:00 PM EST I received an email from one of the Shooting Supply companies that they had SK Standard Plus in stock. Limit of 1 c...

The Marlin is grooved for a scope isn't it? There isn't much difference between a 3/8" scope rail and an 11mm Anschutz sight rail. The Anschutz rear sight will clamp in the groove just fine. And should have plenty of windage adjustment to make up for the difference in size. You will probably ne...

Re: 525 in 1st 3x20 smallbore course, how does she stack up?

My 13 yr old daughter shot her first full 60 shot 3p smallbore course on a 50 ft range tonight and scored a 525 - P 182, S 160, K 174. Only second time in kneeling position. I'm very proud of her, but was really wondering how does this stack up? JO qualifier is in 4 weeks. Could she have a shot at ...

Try Airguns of Texas. They made a left handed grip for my sons IZZY and it worked out well, at the time they were under Woods and Water and were the grip of choice thru Pilk. Explain your situation and I am sure they will help you out. Mike Playing phone tag with them tonight. Hopefully talk with t...

wounded warrior needs left handed air pistol

Folks, I'm working with some wounded warriors from Walter Reed. They are training to go to the otc in may for some paralympic games. One has been accepted for air pistol. Our club has 3 izh46 air pistols but all are right handed. He has no right hand. I would either like to get a left handed grip fo...

Are you testing accuracy? just by shooting it prone as you normally do, shooting from a bench rest or a machine rest? I don't know how many times I've had shooters tell me there is something wrong with their gun, we lock it in the machine rest and it shoots just fine. That still can mean a problem w...

Fairfax Rod and Gun club in Manassas, VA has a prone match every spring and fall.

I think the IWLA in Centreville, VA has a prone league during the summer.

We cut the stocks down on a couple of our Daisy 888's for real small shooters.

If you drill a couple of 1/4" holes in the stock before you cut the chunk off you can then glue and pin the piece back in place if you want to at a later date.

I've tested several Anschutz 2002 CA's in our return to battery rest at our club. Every one of them preferred a smaller pellet, usually the R10 4.48 or 4.49. I say clean the guns then try some various pellet sizes. With a pellet they like the 2002 CA will shoot a 10 shot group that you can't drop a ...

On the AR5-10 target you need to check your natural point of aim on every bulls eye.

Most likely you will have to adjust your position as you move around the target.

The barrel of the rifle can extend across the 10 meter firing line, but your feet (or elbows in prone) cannot.
