Cloudy lens on Older Gehmann Iris

Just picked up a 2003 rifle with Gehman diopter adjustment and iris. Believe it has been in a gun safe for years. Sight is a bit cloudy. Have attempted cleaning with alcohol. Bit brighter now.

Is there something else I can do to brighten thing up?

Thanks in advance for help.

Re: Load data for Pardini 6" GT-45

I gave up on using lswc in my gt 45 last year. Recently I retried some loads I have made for a 1911 a few years ago. Worked flawlessly. They I went back and loaded some 200 grain PENN, 185 Zero, 185 Missouri Bullet Button, LSWC. Tried 3.9 and 4.1 in V310 and Bullseye. They all worked flawlessly. Tot...

Monitoring gunbot and acting fast works out. I passed on vv n310 today because I have enough. So it does show up.

Re: Free PIstol Glove

I have cut down a rifle sock to around 25 cm and used that to cover my grip to shoot in cold weather. I have also tucked in a hand warmer. Still allows me to access the cocking lever and trigger set levers of my toz. Rifle sock is stretch polyester circular knit tube very commonly used for protectio...

Re: Pardini 32cal bullseye gun

Dipnet I have titegroup and bullseye in enough quantity for this coming year. Have the hornady 60 grain for a long line load and the rimrock bullets coming for lower cost option or short line load. Hoping these combinations along with your and many others shared experience will get me to a good load...

Re: Steyr LP10 Sear Adjustment

I made the mistake of trying out/exploring all the adjustments on a LP5. I discovered the sear is a very fine/fickle adjustment. The videos helped but it took the help of our host's gunsmith (Buck) to get my pistol reliably working again. Be careful or maybe better said don't mess with sear engageme...

Re: Thin Target Tearing fix.

Another tip.

Put a piece of masking tape or painters tape on the backside of the bull. The area you taped is stiffened up nicely. Holes become reasonably clean in that area.

Re: Practicing Timed and Rapid Fire with an air pistol at 10

I do it a little different. Aeron 5 shot pistol. Red dot sight. For a target I use a 10 meter rifle target. Sight picture is in my eyes close to the 50 yard but a little smaller. If I can get all 5 shots in the black that is 9 ring or better approximately. That is my goal vs trying to establish a sc...

Re: Load data for Pardini 6" GT-45

I can not get wad cutters to feed reliably. Tried 185 and 200 grain and no luck. 200 is better than 185 with fewer stove pipes. 4.7 vv n310 behind a zero 185 jhp for long line. Short line I went to using berrys or extreme 185 plated flat nose. Reduce powder to 4.2 vv n310. Lower cost bullet and it h...

Sprint Biathlon

I ran a sprint biathlon at a scout camp out this past weekend. Scouts really liked it and it was a lot of fun for adults and youth. Offering up details and some suggestions of someone else wants to bring it to a youth program. Event combined two 500 yards runs with two strings of shooting. First str...

Pardini

I went from a benelli to a izh35 to a Pardini. Along the way I picked up a smith, ruger and a trailside. I have sold everything except the trailside and bought a second Pardini. Pardini is a great gun that will allow you to shoot rapid, conventional and bullseye. You can shoot it in free pistol but ...

Works well

Be aware that the center section that holds the battery, and turrets is a little longer than some other dots. Your rings will be a little farther apart than other match dot models. If you are mounting on a full rail no problem. If you try to mount on a shorter rail like some frame mount you might no...

Possible cause

I wonder if not cycling the lever completely and then forcing it to close was a primary cause for the pin failure. The gentleman trying my pistol out did this a number of times as he was trying to get it to go bang.

Firing pin

I went ahead and ignored the caution not to remove the breech block unless it was cocked. Yes the firing pin is broken. Pistol is several years old and I am second owner but the first owner only test fired it. I have 500 rounds through it. So disappointing that the tab on the pin broke off with so l...

Hammerli 162 Will Not Cock

Pistol will not cock. Lever comes up enough to drop the block and push out the empty but will not go the rest of the way. I recently lent this to a shooter who tried it out but could not get it to shoot. He was not pulling the lever back all the way. He told me that closing the breech was hard and h...
