Re: Cheating at ISSF Olympic Qualification Championship 2024

Regarding the wrist worn device rule. The rule states first: "Mobile phones or other hand-held communication devices" The key point here is hand held communication devices... "may not be used" Then gives examples of the types of devices... "(i.e. tablets, etc.), electronic d...

Re: Pardini SP for sale in MA

are you southern NH by chance? I used to shoot for Billerica and shot against many southern NH teams, Pelham, Plaistow... wondering if we crossed paths Yep. I was team captain at Pelham for several years and ran the State Championships for NH. That was about 20 years ago. Took over a Junior 3P smal...

Re: Wow

I have not paid attention to Smallbore for nearly two decades, and I’m super surprised to learn about how the sport has changed. I started shooting smallbore in 1977 as a teenager. I attended the 1978 and 1980 National Matches, and did a clinic at the OTC in 1979 IIRC there were over 500 competitor...

Re: Pardini SP for sale in MA

I have this same model which I purchased many years ago right here on TT. I think I paid $950 + shipping and transfer fees. But that was a loooong time ago. I'm not suggesting that is a starting price either... its worth much more than that today. That gun is a tack driver and a tank. I never had a ...

I don't think USA Shooting maintains its own rules anymore. They only apply the issf rules.

Re: Sporter to Precision Growing Pains

Go buy a lefty jacket, glove and sling if you can afford it. Maybe $200-$250 total. Then donate it back to the club. That's how most clubs get their equipment over time.

See if you can design a spacer from wood to extend the butt plate of the rifle.

I put together this powerpoint for the parents on my team to understand the options available for upgrading equipment. May be of some use here.

Re: Shooting Coat Materials

New more modern material is available but more expensive than the canvas/Leather options. I have a Capapie suit and absolutely love it. I got lucky and bought a well fitting 'off the shelf' jacket and pants when they were introduced in the US when I was at Camp Perry. It stays stiffer longer and if ...

Midway limits the amount you can withdraw each year. But if you have access to a large starting amount it's a great idea.

Re: Air Rifle - Front sight aperture size depending on skill

If I'm reading the chart correctly, the numbers are the minimum not the optimum, ie you may need a larger size. Correct! I keep the size chart handy for my junior rifle team. Easy rule of thumb if you are measuring in inches: The distance from front sight to the eye (not rear sight) roughly corresp...

If so, please have him/her visit me at the Walther booth and I can help with buttplate adjustment and fit.
No but thanks she won't be there.
