Re: Hand falling asleep

I'm starting to think this will take a long time too.
Out of curiosity...using the Sauer exact IV sling, should the adjustment wheels go on the outside of my arm or the inside? Currently they're on the inside but like I mentioned they come into contact with the rifle. Thanks

Re: Hand falling asleep

I wanted to really send out a big thank you to those that replied. There is a wealth of information in your responses that I'll have to spend some time giving attention. This may take me some time as I find if I adjust 1 thing suddenly 1 or 2 other things need adjusting. I have myself an Anschutz 20...

Hand falling asleep

In search of help. My left hand (support hand) is falling asleep about 5 to 10 minutes into getting into the prone position. I used to shoot prone in my childhood but now getting back at it in my mid 40's. With that said, I'm sure I'm doing something wrong but truthfully dont know what? Anyone out t...

Re: Butthook question 50m smallbore

That's really great information thank you! You must have all sorts of ideas and even better the skills to turn them into reality! Sure could use your skill as I am also trying to have weights made for my running target rifles. Ever get bored or feel the need to make something feel free to contact me...

Re: Butthook question 50m smallbore

Thank you. That helps me visualize what the rule is and I guess I would definitely be in violation. I appreciate all who shared their time and knowledge. Probably should stop tinkering and just place an order. Although the tungsten and lathe route does sound interesting! However not sure if my leg i...

Re: Butthook question 50m smallbore

Thank you for helping find an answer.
At first I too thought the weights would get in the way however to be truthful I dont notice them. To me, they really dont feel much wider than an old thicker hook.

Re: Butthook question 50m smallbore

Took a photo and tried to upload but got an error that says file is too large. Sorry. To describe it better the weights are circular and slide onto the rod being secured in place via screws tapped through the weight and tightened to the rod. If you google a hammerli ar50 image you'll probably see a ...

Re: Butthook question 50m smallbore

Hi yes. So I should clarify why I'm doing this. I purchased a used rifle which has a buttplate minus the hook. I'm a bit on the smaller size so the original butt plate assembly is just a bit too big. I really wanted to try to hobble something together so I dont need to shell out a lot of money on a ...

Butthook question 50m smallbore

Hello I have a question I was hoping someone could clarify. Is it permissible for me to attach balance weights to the hook of my butt plate? The ISSF rules state "weights cannot extend further to the rear than a line perpendicular to the deepest point in the butt plate." I'm not sure I'm c...

Re: Electronic trainers (SCATT) in running target.

Thank you for posting the info regarding using noptel to train for running target. I found the links helpful however I am unfamiliar with the system and products. Could anyone be specific about which of the noptel products I'd need to purchase to be able to get going? If I was going to use this what...

What features make an air rifle better suited for running target

Hello RT shooters. I'm looking for a 10m running target rifle. Besides Walthers specific RT model, what other air rifle manufacturers make a rifle that would be best suited for running target and why? Are there certain features that make one manufacture/model better suited than others? Besides techn...
