Re: the muzzle moves to the left a little when pull the trigger

Hi
It could also be your trigger position is slightly too far forward and you are inducing movement to the left as you activate the trigger.

Re: Old eyes

Hi Martin Sounds like your lens prescription is set up to focus on the front sight too much. Try a lens power which focuses your eye on the target more. Probably just needs an increase of -0.25 on your current prescription to help see the target better. But be prepared, you won't see the front sight...

Re: New to diopters on rifle, eye strain concerns.

Try your rear iris at approx 1.1mm. This will give better depth of field so that both your target and foresight will be closer to being in focus all at the same time.
At 1.8mm you will only be able to see either the foresight, or the target, in focus at one time.

Re: Cateracts and seeing the target

Hi Gort I had the same experience with floaters. I had moderate to bad floaters in my right eye for many years and I found using 1.4 - 1.5 mm rear iris gave a reasonable sight picture. My theory is that with a std 1.1mm rear iris, you look through any eye imperfections and all the aberrations that g...

Re: Problem with SCATT being Off-Call

Hi Barry, If they are IR 10m Scatt's, it could be interference between the two units picking up the IR beams from the other unit's target. But after 4 years of no problems, I had some strange behaviour from my MX-02, I noticed the zero shifting when live firing with 22 smallbore. The zero would move...

Re: the dominance of Capapie shooting suits

I found the fit of my Capapie jacket is much better than all four of my previous KT jackets. This is due to the factory being able to translate my measurements into a coat that has fitted me well and gives a very stable sling position. And although my Sauer coat fit was also fantastic and I shot ver...

We have Meyton targets for 25 yard indoor.

Therefore allowed for 50m free rifle, just not allowed on Air and Standard rifles.

Re: MEC Swap

I used a Swap unit for 4 months after a PVD/retinal tear in my aiming eye. I shot 400/400 on the English 25 yard indoor cards so they work very well. It has quite a limited field of view and it was a bit difficult to tell when I was perfectly centered. I tried it at 50m but gave up because I had no ...

Re: Fresnel Lenses, Cataract Surgery, and Sight Picture

mhampel, What discipline are you shooting? I am assuming iron sights if you want to use a Duplex? Before you splash out money on a Duplex I would try to diagnose your issue by eliminating any other reasons for your wild shots. If you can get access to a Scatt I would use it to help with diagnosing t...

Re: Shooting Glasses Help

Tim is correct. +0.25 is the part of your prescription that you increase by +0.5 to pull your focus back towards the front sight. Your astigmatism (Cyl) is -2.50, at an angle of 176 degrees. Normally this doesn't change for a shooting lens. Normally PD is the distance between your pupils, looks like...

Re: Anschutz Match 54.30 1918 Precise Stock sights ?

Hi Peter As Tim says, sounds like your front bloop tube isn't aligned correctly. You need to adjust the bloop tube clamp so it is centred. Re-centre your rear sight. Then fire a shot (it will hit out to the right) Loosen the bloop tube clamp (rear two screws). Then loosen the bloop tube (front two s...

Re: Tec-Hro test stand

I have modified my stand by adding a plate to the bottom. This adds about 15 lbs to the stand and give me a place to add leveling and elevation screws. Now I need a good way to adjust windage. This has really made testing ammo and tuning the tuner more precise. Just wish I had a 100 yard indoor ran...

You need a Anschutz Monoframe. It attaches to the rear sight and holds a 25mm lens. https://ahg.anschuetz-sport.com/index.php5?menu=46&sprache=1&seite=83&produktID=419 Sounds like you need to re-visit your lens prescription if the target is that blurry. But having a stable lens might jus...

Re: front sight eagle eye

OK, I'm confused again. I would have thought that if the lens was between the eye and the fore sight, it would magnify both the sight element and the target. However if the lens was between the fore sight and the target, it would simply magnify the target. You aren't confused, your statement is ent...

Re: Electronic target scoring methodology

The zero on an EST is in all likelyhood NOT in the center of the black ... but it DOES NOT MATTER. As noted above - That's what your sights are for ... to adjust your gun to what the target KNOWS is center ... you'll not change it's mind. You have 15 minutes and unlimited shots to do this. That is ...

Re: Rika trainer - zero drift issue

The first I would look at is the sensor mount and check it isn't moving. If that is OK, then how does the Rika Trainer work, does it use infrared light? As I understand it, the older Scatt system uses infrared and I have experienced zero drift/changes if there is changing sunlight in the room you wh...
