Re: Please explain this air pistol silhouette to me.

Thank you both, thank you indeed. Whoa! I had no idea! I'll study your responses and go from there. It appears that the format leaves a lot of areas to improvise in but as you said the iron sights of the Izzy is something I know well and am comfortable with. There must've been some hidden reason why...

Re: Is there a way to Estimate Optimum Grip Angle (Rake)?

.... I was wondering if there is a procedure or rule of thumb for estimating a shooters optimal rake angle? .... You want the holy grail, eh? Anybody who tells they have a patent answer that covers all is a heretic and is to be avoided. Personally I'm on my fifth computer printed grip and currently...

Please explain this air pistol silhouette to me.

I happened on a fully informal league that shoots indoor 15m air pistol silhouette every Saturday at my range. There is nine hardcore shooters looking for a tenth and they've invited me. They've been shooting this for a long time, same director, same time, same equipment, the Izhmash -46M with a cus...

Re: If you could read just one book on rifle shooting.

Very insightful, thank you.

You just reminded me of my soccer coaching times when parents of high schoolers wanted me to recommend a book or a video. The answer was always to allow for more free practice and informal game time.

If you could read just one book on rifle shooting.

There are hundreds of good books on rifle shooting, maybe more, but please humour me and tell me which is the one that will give a beginner the most and the best . Must be in print and available, no Yur'Yev. Maybe the "Ways of the Rifle, by Buhlman, Reinkemeyer & Eckhardt" ? Thank you.

The IZH-35M extractor.

Anything new on the subject of the IZH-35M extractor?
All domestic and Russian sources have dried up long ago.
Is this the only way to go?

deadeyedick wrote: That’s a shame as the FAS 607 ( now 6007 ) is an incredible pistol that deserves to be experienced by shooters in the U.S.
And what's with it being available in Australia where we're told that restrictions apply even to toy guns?

Much appreciated, thank you. I think I'll go for the full NP3Plus coating.

Now, about Pochettino. Say it ain't true that they're letting him go.

Robar NP3 coating.

Robar is the only place where a NP3 or NP3Plus coating can be applied.

https://robarguns.com/custom-firearm-finishes/np3/

The Price List identifies all the services offered and is worth looking at.

Any opinions, experiences? I'm very tempted to go this route.

Thanks.

His products might be worth the recommendation, but without a recommendation, that website is atrocious and doesn't inspire confidence.

Re: Adjusting the FWB AW93 Trigger.

Thanks Stan and I very much appreciate your patience. I asked George Brenzovich, he was quite categorical about all trigger adjustments having to start with screw #22 and one expects him to know the issue in some depth. I suspect that Haidurov's original XP-64 design may have been quite a bit simple...

Re: Adjusting the FWB AW93 Trigger.

Edit II: after a bit more pondering, I would only touch screws #24 (trigger point weight) and #25 (trigger slack weight) first and see how the resulting trigger felt before adjusting screws #20-23. I'm keeping this as notes to myself in case I want to do this some day. OK Stan. I want to do just th...

Re: Adjusting the FWB AW93 Trigger.

Thanks Stan. I'm printing this and placing it at the head of the bench. I'm not trying for a one-stage, just a slight adjustment of the two-stage which came out of the box heavier than yours. Cracks me up that my FAS Chiappa 604 came out of the box with the most incredible trigger that I've ever sho...

Re: Adjusting the FWB AW93 Trigger.

Check out the true two-stage X-Line trigger I've installed on my 1911. Page 3 here: http://www.bullseyeforum.net/t4435p50-installed-a-new-hinged-trigger-design-for-the-1911?highlight=X+line+trigger The FWB has obviously a lot more capabilities built into it. It came with a 2lb and a long take-up out...

Adjusting the FWB AW93 Trigger.

The Feinwerkbau manual isn't bad but a well made video on the AW 93 trigger adjustment would be most welcome. Has anybody uncovered one? So far I've only found this older thread: http://targettalk.org/viewtopic.php?f=4&t=12110&start=20 On page 2, post by Walter, but he says he goes by memory...
