Re: Pardini GT9 and Red Dot Sights

The GT9 is costly, and mine would not shoot well at all. Save your money or get the .45

Re: 9mm pardini light loads

I am curious to know if any Pardini 9mm owners have cut coils from the recoil spring to make the pistol cycle with a light load. Pardini also has a polygonal barrel at 1.10 twist for non-lead loads. Accurate loads which I have seen listed have been for the 1.17 3/4 inch twist barrel with lead loads,...

Re: 9mm pardini light loads

The rifling twist for the Pardini GT9 is 1 in 17.75 inches. The "light" spring is of unknown poundage, so I am reluctant to cut off any coils to run a lighter load. The reloads I am using are 120 Lee truncated bullet, lead, powder coated to avoid leading of the barrel. Sized .357 for the s...

9mm pardini light loads

My Pardini GT9 has the "light" recoil spring, but the light frame coupled with the heavy slide and barrel result in the pistol not working with a light load as my other 9mm pistols. Does anyone have load suggestions to enable this pistol to shoot accurately without a heavy load? I have rea...

Re: need reloading data for Pardini GT9 6 inch

I have purchased "plated bullets" from 3 different manufacturers, and they are all undersized from what they are said to be. A .356 plated bullet which measures .3545 will not shoot accurately, but when I have asked why the bullets are small I am told that they are "withing specs"...

Re: need reloading data for Pardini GT9 6 inch

I am trying to avoid buying bullets, thus casting the Lee 120 TC. Powder-coating the bullets eliminates worrying about any leading - it is good to more than 1200 fps. Re accuracy, I am shooting PPC indoors and the "10" ring is rather large on the full-size B-27 target, so the ammo must sho...

Re: Pardini GT9 barrel

Pardini states that the twist rate is 1 in 450 mm ( 17.72 inches ) This is for the rifled barrel, and the twist rate of the polygonal barrel is 1 in 10 inches.

Re: need reloading data for Pardini GT9 6 inch

I emailed Pardini Italy and they replied to state that the rifling is 6-groove, 1 twist in 450 mm ( 17.72 inches ). I am now shooting a 120 lead Lee TC bullet, powder-coated and sized .357 with 4.0 N320.
Thanks for the help and information. dragon

update - put on the new sight which has a green fibre-optic. I am loading the Lee 120 grain truncated cone bullet, powder coated and sized to .357, at 1.062 with 4.0 N320.

Re: need reloading data for Pardini GT9 6 inch

The slow twist rate of the rifling is the problem I think. My pistol has the "soft" recoil spring and the load has to cycle the slide. It appears that a light bullet is required in this rifling to stabilize. Others on this site have submitted load data, but their barrel leade is longer tha...

Re: need reloading data for Pardini GT9 6 inch

now that I am on the correct page, I am beginning to realize that nobody really shoots a GT9 who will share reloading information. I have to load the Lee 120 TC bullet at 1.062 and the Lee 125 2R at 1.080 inches. I am trying powdercoated bullets with N320 and 231. The best prospect load so far is 4....

need reloading data for Pardini GT9 6 inch

Please give me reloading information for accurate loads for the 9mm Pardini GT9. Have tried about 40 different loads, and nothing even approaching small groups. What weight bullet works best, fmj or lead? I have 7625, N320 and 231 powder. thanks, dragon

Re: Case bulge and Pardini GT 9-6

The Lee sizing die being used for 9mm cases is the die for 9 Makarov. My buddy uses this, and he says that it works. My sizing die with the bottom ground off at an angle up to the carbide sizing insert works on all cases, even Glock-fired brass, if you use some case lube. I have resized this way for...

Re: Case bulge and Pardini GT 9-6

I could be wrong, but am thinking that the CasePro is no longer made. It was expensive. Lee makes a push-through die for the 9mm case. Check their website. I don't have problems with sizing cases almost to the bottom. Simply grind off some of the bottom of the resize die up to the point where the ca...

Re: reloading for Pardini GT9 9mm

Thank you for the information. I did get a Lee 120 grain conical mold, and have to load to an overall length of 1.063 I have not been experimenting with the GT9 because I am waiting for a new front sight.

Re: reloading for Pardini GT9 9mm

did that. They had no reloading information. Pardini.com had some lead load data but with European powders.
I have made some 120 grain bullets and will be making some trial loads.
The slow twist of the GT9 rifling will not work with a heavy bullet.

In the 6 inch barrel, of which about 5 1/4 inches are rifled, the rod turns only about 1/4 turn.

Re: reloading for Pardini GT9 9mm

I purchased the Lee 120 grain conical, flat-nose bullet mold and once again I find that I can't use the information on overall length. Olav states that he loads this bullet to 1.110 and I find that at 1.075 the bullet is contacting the leade/rifling. The information on the Lee 38 mold 125 grain woul...
