Re: Pardini 32 ACP OAL 'short vs long'

I neglected the primary reason for not shooting the short OAL bullet; I got 2 FTF out of less than 100 rounds tested, which is an extraordinarily high failure rate. That said, the accuracy of shorter OAL bullets was slightly better but likely not statistically significant. I think the issue is cause...

Re: 32 s&w l wc and WST

I used to shoot 32 S&WL when I owned a GSP but sold it in 2014. I do have load data, which includes a starting load with WST (I did not chronograph it unfortunately). The best powder I found was VV N310; however, experiment with WST. It's fine grain size meters very well and produces good groups...

Re: 45ACP crimp and dies

Having suffered through three statistics classes, I wonder if there is any real difference between a variance of 15 and 19? The only way to tell is to repeat the loads to see of the difference in SD trends. A note on belling: a common mistake is to over-bell case mouths, which makes bullet center-se...

Re: Pardini Trigger replacement

That sounds like Pardini has become more profit motivated and less owner-friendly (or maybe they've had to undo a lot of owner's adjustments). I used to own a GT45 and bought and installed a short trigger and did not like it. Changing the trigger obviously changes its geometry and feel. So I sold th...

Dry Firing Works!

I know, I know, the biggest non-secret out there. I this time of COVID, I've not been participating in matches or going to range that much, so I've been dry firing every night for about 15 minutes before going to bed. It's relaxing, reduces my anger, and keeps my skills from dealing due to lack of p...

Re: Pardini SP 4th Round Jams

I had a mystery FTF that appeared after many thousands of rounds and it typically affected the second, sometimes third round in magazine. I tried replacing magazine springs (during the time when Pardini USA did not have said springs in stock, so I used other 22 pistol mag springs [High Standard repl...

Pardini 32 ACP OAL 'short vs long'

I read a suggestion that Travis 64 grain LSWC-coated bullets should be loaded to the top edge of shoulder (i.e., as with 45 LSWCs) so that the round could be easily extracted if the gun needed to be cleared. This issue is with the usual OAL of ~0.900 with Travis LSWC-coated 64-gr bullets, a chambere...

Re: Pardini SP RF Problem

I shoot Aquila SV super extra in my Pardini SP BE, which is match accurate at 50 yards, albeit somewhat dirty compared to CCI, Wolf, SK, Eley, and so on. After I was into my second case of Aquila I began having an issue where the second round in a magazine would not feed (1st round fired and ejected...

Does anyone know if these are these available in the US? Is there a groove for mounting a red dot on top of the receiver? Nice looking pistol. Dipnet

Re: Pardini GT9

I owned and cried when I sold my GT45 due to the boxy grip (for double stack magazine). The large grip was uncomfortable for me in the off-hand shooting done in Precision Pistol. Not an issue if you have large mitts. The GT9 has a smaller frame and both models have the best trigger you will ever fee...

Re: Scope caps for Aimpoint Hi Micro

I made scope caps using aftermarket caps available at Primary Arms (https://www.primaryarms.com/MCategories+Red-Dot-Accessories), which fit the Aimpoint H1. I bought two sets and cut off the deeper caps from each; these fit Fred Totts lens extension tubes perfectly). I connected the caps with a piec...

All,
The VVN100 is a typo; thanks for catching the error. I've corrected the file and attached a pdf. Thanks, dipnet

Re: .45 zero 185 reload info needed.

Alex,
Yep, slight depression at the crimp (a ring) but not to worry; it does not affect accuracy at least at 50 yards and probably not at all with respects to pistol accuracy. dipnet

Re: Pardini .22 magazine modification?

Re last round slide stop: I tried this modification because I was concerned about firing pin damage from firing on empty chamber. Having modified one magazine, the procedure is not worth the effort (I restored my mag to original condition). I probably fire on an empty chamber once or twice/match (us...

Re: Pardini dry fire?

I occasionally drop the hammer on an empty chamber during a match and my firing pin shows no damage. I did buy an extra one just in case but doubt if I'll ever have to use it. Cheers, dipnet

Re: Tell me about your 32acp experience.

Dave, Your remark re 32 SWL versus the ACP surprises me, especially given all the work you and others have done on load development/testing and the great accuracy realized by the 32 ACP with a variety of powders at 50 yards. With a GSP at 25 yards, I found the 32 SWL to be finicky and to only work w...

Re: pardini buffer (back shock absorber) replacement

I replaced my recoil buffer after about the first 5K rounds; see pictures and discussion regarding damage to the recoil buffer by the recoil dampening rod ( http://www.targettalk.org/viewtopic.php?f=10&t=53649&p=260591&hilit=pardini+recoil#p257365 ). If you've bought the SPBE model, the ...

Re: .45 zero 185 reload info needed.

I'm attaching a pdf of an excel spreadsheet for Zero 185-gr bullets (JHP AND LSWC-HP). These are my favorite bullets; the JHP is terrifically accurate at 50 yards (likes to go fast) and the LSWC-HP makes perfect cookie-cutter holes. I don't know why but they almost make me giggle, not that target sh...
