1911 Series 80 - are theses used anywhere for bullseye?

Is this 1911 series 80 platform used in bullseye 45's at all?

Re: 1975 Victor wont chamber CCI SV ammo. Thoughts?

My first target pistol was a HS Victor. CCI SV also would not chamber in my pistol either. AT that time, I was using Remington Eley Match and it functioned perfect and was an X ring gun at 50 yards with that ammo. I didn't ransom rest it, but it was as accurate as my new Pardini at that time. I had ...

Re: VV N310_Change in granule type??

do you run a short line load Murph?[/quote] I shoot Federal Factory for 50 yards at matches. I run the 4.3 load for short line and 25 yard slows. I only make one load now. I've tried softer loads and lead, but i seem to shoot better with this load. I've shot this 4.3 load at 50 yards and it knocks o...

Re: VV N310_Change in granule type??

I have N310 from a 2010 batch and a recent batch of 2014. Both look the same to me, the short stick like grains, which sounds like what you have now.
4.5 is a fast, long line load for me with the JHP. I actually don't even run it that fast anymore. 4.3 does just as good for me.

Re: Pardini 32ACP Bullet Weights

The PMC Ammo with the 60 grain JHP was "OK" at 50 yards. If you are master or HM, you may be too critical of the PMC. I remember Emil cleaned a 50 yard target though...with PMC one time (1 handed, not off the bench). PMC usually held the 10 ring off the bench at 50 yards. I tested almost e...

Re: Rumors of a single stack Pardini GT-45

The trigger on the GT45 is fantastic, and adjustable to your taste, and would make it an easy sell to many customers. It could be set up like the Pardini 22...if that is what you shoot. It is already very easy to break down and clean. If Pardini added a barrel bushing type of feature (which I assume...

Canton Ohio, July NRA regional 2700

I was told that the July Canton Ohio regional is scheduled to be the Friday, Saturday, and Sunday leading up to the Camp Perry NRA nationals. Camp Perry events begin on Sunday and would then over lap if that happens. Is there any chatter that Canton may alter their event to a Thursday, Friday, and S...

Re: Pardini 32ACP Bullet Weights

PMC offers a 60 grain JHP loaded ammo. Its about 1/2 the price of the Hornady and I had good results with them. They would certainly make a great short line ammo. 32B is their part number.

Re: .45 "Marine Load"

http://tonybrong.blogspot.com/2015/08/brass-life-and-accuracy.html Also the AMU did a brass life post on Facebook, I think, last year some time. I use a close version of this "Marine load" almost exclusively. N310, JHP 185, 4.2-4.5, etc. Its awesome and that powder is super clean and mete...

Re: Just unbelievable!!

Bruce Piatt (2015 NRA World champ and previous Bianchi Cup champ) had previously shot a rapid fire qualifier, finished 2nd, and made the national team. This was back when they shot 22 short.
I don't know the year or remember the details, but he crossed over for a bit.

Those dates don't one up with what the NRA told us the 2017 Camp Perry dates would be.
They told us July 11th - 16th would be pistol week.
I will email the NRA and ask them to confirm the dates. I will post their reply.

The 1911's can be tuned to eject directly sideways. Nice low mounts are more common than not.

Re: Target Pistols and CT weapons ban

They are unfortunately currently considered "banned" by DPS and the dealers. An exempt list, which includes those pistols and many others (which almost mirrors California's exempt list) has been recently (months ago) approved by the DPS legal dept., and is simply sitting on the Commissione...

Re: Four European .32 wudcutter pistols

What we are referring to, is that a post from a very new person, with limited info, offering to sell stuff, has often resulted in it actually being a scam. If your are not a scam, you can simply post one or more of them in the for sale section of this site. Maybe you could put an asking price and se...
