Re: Barnard P action in a Feinwerkbau 2700 stock

It is surely possible but will need some custom engineering. If a "P" action
can be fitted to an Anschutz precise stock than a FWB 2700 metal stock should be viable too.

Well Feinwerkbau finally have some pics on their German language website. I think the wood stock looks better.

Re: Bleiker vs KK500

If you want to pay 2+ grand extra for no extra gain in results then feel free. I have never owned a Bleiker and never will. Can only tell stories from people I have chatted to in my shooting circles who are current owners. Are they accurate? You bet! One person I know has sent her rifle back to the ...

Re: 54.30 or KK 500 ???

Time for some biased opinion. Had the same choice dilemma 2 years ago. Went the KK500 route, fantastic, awesome, insanely great, no regrets! With off the shelf Center-X I have whipped plenty with their Bleikers (when they are not being repaired) and batch tested ammo. I recently changed the standard...

Re: Re-Barreling a Walther KK500?

If you are going to buy new get a KK500-M Ultra Light Unlike older / traditional target rifles that have their barrels pinned, clamped or screwed into the action KK500's are glued in with epoxy and a very tight fit. The action needs to be heated up significantly for barrel removal/insertion. Not sur...

Close up on that bolt...

Spring loaded? Possibly the easiest right to left hand bolt change ever? https://www.facebook.com/All4shooters.d ... 896433557/

Sweet! Since new small bore target rifle models only come around once a decade (maybe) it will be nice to see what this new boom stick will looks like.

UK ban on .50 cal and Manually Actuated Release System?

This possible change to UK gun law may be of (depressing) interest to some. Page 3/4 give the motivation for it. Something bad could happen as a result of these legally owned firearms possessed by a tiny fraction of the public so.... they must be banned. Nothing bad has occurred yet but it might so ...

Re: Anschutz 54.30:a big improvement over the 2013 ?

One shooter at my club bought a 54.30 barreled action and dropped it into his stock. It shoots very well but he is also a good shot which helps. He does not really notice the slight weight reduction but thinks the longer sight radius (than he previously had) when using the blooper tube is an advanta...

Re: KK500 trigger - how good is it?

Well my KK500 is the first rifle I have used for competitive shooting that was not 40 to 50+ years old already. So far I think the (mechanical) trigger is great and according to the manual can be adjusted every which way. I have left it at the factory setting as it seemed amazing the way it was out ...

Not sure if this is mostly a cosmetic makeover of the FP60 but Walther has a new Free Pistol model out.

Re: Walther Barrels

5 or 6 grooves I think

Out of interest a response as to who manufactures Walther barrels from their service center( I asked a while back) read:
"..our barrels for KK300 are made by Lothar Walther and the rifling is pulled or drawn with a non cutting process."

Re: KK500 report.

Mk V had very good accuracy but it's stock dimensions did not fit me that well and if the trigger was set too light then the (quick/snappy) closing of the action on a live round could cause it to fire! The rifle and sights are all original but length of pull was never a great match for me. That said...

Re: KK500 report.

@OrlandoProneXgun I was shooting a BSA Martini (Mk V) prior to getting the Walther. Ammo test at 50m this weekend. Eley Sport = Stays inside the 9 ring, can shoot a string of four or five 10's in a row but too many shots peel away for no reason. Not fit for bullseye competition. CCI Std = Stays insi...

KK500 report.

Had my KK500 for just over 6 months and put just over 3000 rounds through it. It has a long way to go before it's durability can be properly assessed but the short story is it's friggin fantastic! I'm shooting the best scores I have ever shot and the way it can adjust means anyone big or small shoul...

Re: Anschutz Match 54.30

It's only "much" cheaper if you get one with a 1907 wooden stock. Recently the Anschutz website displayed 54.30's in a wider variety of stocks including the old super-match wood stock. Not sure about the price on that but it should be less than an alu-type stock. The KK500 comes with sight...

Re: Walther KK500 @ NRA prone distances (50Y,50M,100Yards)

Update: This target was shot an hour ago at 100 yards with my KK500. Shot with my cheapest ammo RWS Target Rifle. First shot was low. Second was in the 8 ring 3 o'clock because the sights adjust the opposite way to my old rifle and I'm on adjustment autopilot. I got the elevation right but adjusted ...
