Re: Russian Target rifles

Thanks BigBen for your update, however when these rifles were sold in the UK in 1969-1970, they were certainly advertised as Vostok MTS12, but heyho, that is a long time ago and maybe they were exported under the brand you mentioned for whatever reason.

Re: Russian Target rifles

I remember having a similar accessory box with my Vostok MTS12 rifle when it was new in 1970. Great value for money at the time.

Re: SCATT trigger system

You may find that the trigger sensor has been preset for the lower trigger pressure used on rimfire rifles. I presume that there may be a way in the software to reset the base trigger pressure to a higher value so that pistol trigger pressure can be recognised.

Re: Does anyone shoot 60 shot AP using Point of Aim.

It does depend on your eyesight and the amount of lighting that you have on the target. Younger eyes are probably able to get enough of a contrast to see the sights against the black background of the aiming mark, whilst the rest of us need as much visual help and contrast as possible.

Re: Steyr LP 10 vs LP 10E grip

As far as I am aware, the pistol grip for the Steyr LP10 was probably a Cesare Morini grip, whereas the grip for the LP10E was of Spanish manufacture and the EVO 10 grips are made by a different Spanish manufacturer. Each manufacturer would follow their own research as to the required shape and angl...

Re: Shots are Low and Left

I would suggest that maybe you are holding on for a longer period as you are increasing the trigger pressure and possibly trying to get 'too perfect' an aim, at the expense of actual loosing focus and concentration slightly, which can then result in overtired arm muscles and as the shot breaks, the ...

Re: Rika Website

Hi Lenny, Sorry I misinformed you, it should have read "try running the software in an earlier version compatability mode", however thinking about it further, that probably only nowadays refers to using Win 7. You might be able to install and run XP in virtual mode and then run the Rika so...

Re: Rika Website

You could try running the laptop in compatiblity mode, that might work. I used to like the features on Rika, but gave up and acquired a Scatt three years ago.

Re: KINETIC- Revolutionary Shooting Training System!

Thanks Paul for your valued input. The reason for my question was purely from the online videos, the sensor retaining band around the shooters wrist looks as if it passes between the hand and the pistol grip, which I thought might have made a change to the feel of the grip. However as you have indic...

Re: KINETIC- Revolutionary Shooting Training System!

The sensor attached to back of the wrist is going to create a completely false position of the hand gripping the pistol grip and therefore cause an error in the shot placement and the feel of the grip. The sensors on the arm muscles are probably going to create some sort of additional support along ...

Re: Morni162 ei using a scatt mx02

It is always preferable to mounted the scatt as near to the trigger as possible, so that the additional 35grams weight of the sensor does not adversely affect the fine balance and feel of the pistol. If you think that that amount of extra weight does not make a difference, then add the standard weig...

Re: Weighing different air pistols

You might want to consider the Hammerli AP20 pistol which weighs about 870 grams and has a multi-adjustable grip and can be configured with the air cylinder down at an angle in front of the trigger or conventionally under the barrel. This is an easy pistol for all to use and there are enough adjustm...

Re: What next ?

I use one of these regularly when shooting on our indoor range in the winter and on the 50 metre range early in the year. It makes a big difference to preventing your trigger finger and hand getting too cold. Sometimes even put a small hand warmer in the glove between details to keep things cosy.

Focus on the foresight and smooth trigger control. The other items are collectively important in arriving at the point of shot release.
