Re: Can anyone tell me how to socially distant

80 4H kids, and parents, in NRA BB Gun this fall? I am the youngster in the coaches group at 64. My 40 lane range is now a 16 lane range. Have you confirmed with the 4H youth educator that this event can take place? What are the current 4H guidelines? We had so many restrictions here that I gave up...

Re: Beretta 686 Silver Pigeon Sporting?

I shoot a 686 Sporting, and enjoy it. With shotguns however, stock fit is very important. I had the stock custom fit for my height and being left handed. If you get a chance shoot one and see how the stock fits for you.

Re: Daisy 599 reviews?

I understand manufacturers are trying to stay under the magic retail cost limit, but the challenger really missed it not being able to shoot a 3 X 20 without a refill. Even changing tanks at the line would be better than leaving the line.

Re: Right handed shooter, left eye dominant

I was at my club this morning and they had the junior smallbore program going on. There was a young lady who was trying it out for the first time, and was very upset because she's right handed but left eye dominant, and just couldn't see well with her right eye. I was at a loss as to what sort of a...

Re: Daisy 499b Program Startup - ideas needed

I am with a County 4-H shooting sports program that was chartered in 1972. We have 40 499's of various ages. They all still work well, although we did replace many barrels due to wear. They used to pick BB's off the floor and reuse them. The dirt and grit is tough on barrels. The most necessary guns...

Re: how to sell a rifle ...

Basic rules. You cannot export a firearm without a horrendous amount of paperwork. Not even to Canada. Probably no chance at all to some countries. In the United States- Depending on the State you live in, a face to face sale could be possible with no paperwork. Some States require evan private sale...

Re: Anschutz 1903 action screws

My experience is limited to maybe 6 older 54' s, but I believe these would be aftermarket screws. They are rather hard to fit for length, so might be too long.

Re: 499b arrived, 155 fps, can't zero at 5 meters

Daisy has excellent customer service. Call them, send it back & get another. I got it late Friday so they were closed.I sent off an email.I thought maybe it was something simple I could do myself We have had a series of very slow guns. Sorry to hear you did too. Sent them back, waiting for the ...

Re: How soon is too soon with 5m BB?

I've got a young shooter (just turned 6) and an Avanti 499 with his name on it (and a Remington 514T and a Savage 24C and...and...) I'd really like to indoctrinate him early in competitive shooting (he's got 2 brothers too); are there good programs developed for young shooters to start from? A matu...

The 717 is lighter, maybe better for younger shooters- but the 747 shoots better than I ever will. (maybe not saying much, but they do shoot!!)

Re: Daisy 499B

Does anyone have any issues with the rear of the plunger assembly rubbing the top of the receiver? I don't think that it hurts anything but it does cause the plunger to drag when cocking the gun. yes, this happens quite often. sometimes enough to cause very inconsistent velocities. I have had to cle...

I guess I don't understand your question. Are you asking if your pressure limits versus your muzzle velocity is acceptable?
Are you asking if your accuracy is ok FOR A CHALLENGER?

I buy for our club. I have several requests for pictures that have not been answered. If you post them up front, it saves everyone lots of time. If you don't want to sell it bad enough to post pictures in the original post, you don't want to sell it. Don't worry about the trolls, if you don't post p...

Thanks for all the replies!

I asked because they are a left bolt, left eject configuration, and true left handed actions are rather hard to find.

Not that I need yet another project gun, just thinking...... although a hornet might be fun

The information / directions from Orion state the rings are just for the shooters reference. the software does not use them to score. hence, you should not either.

they also say to limit challenges to obvious errors, i.e. 2 holes in one bullseye, too many holes in target. etc
