Re: How do you choose an air pistol for ~10m informal practice and light pest control?

I would agree with the post about the LP50, but, I would suggest rather the LP5. It was an earlier version of the lp50, but CO2 powered, it gives up nothing accuracy wise over the AP version and will probably be somewhat cheaper being "old school". I purchased a 20# siphon feed (very impor...

Re: FEG GPM CO2 Pistol

since you have the pistol apart, measure the O-rings, I.D, O.D. and thickness, and go to McMaster & Carr and order them. You will have to order a pack of 100, but the package will probably cost less than $5.00/ pack. I had to order replacement O-rings for the buffer on my Pardini SP-1 and the co...

Just a heads-up on ammo at CMP

Just want to give everyone a heads-up that there is ammo available at the CMP. They show Federal SV 22 LR for $354.00/case with free shipping. I ordered 2 cases and total cost was $757.56 including tax. I am hopeful that CCI SV will be what is actually shipped, because the description at CMP says SV...

CCI Standard at CCI

Don't know if this is the right place to post this but anyway, with the current scarcity of 22 cal ammo I found that you can order directly from CCI. Limit is 10 boxes/i brick per order at 4.99/box. Total cost for a brick including shipping and tax was just shy of $68.00. It hurts, but if ta need it...

Re: Introduction

Admittedly, refilling or exchanging a CO2 tank can be a pain. But, filling a pistol tank uses all of 53 grams of CO2, a 20 lb tank will give you approx. 170 fills. I don't know how many pellet's that equals, but its gotta be a bunch.

Re: Introduction

I don't understand the problem with CO2. I shoot a pair of Steyr LP-5 pistols. Fill up the tanks from my bulk tank and I am good for 100+ shots. Filling the tanks is simply a matter of putting the pistols tanks in the freezer for a bit, screwing the cold tanks on to the bulk CO2 tank and cracking th...

Re: NRA - ???? Did someone drop the ball?

I am SOOO tired of requests for money from the NRA, both by mail and by E-mail. If it is by E-mail I just hit reply and type "Get my share from Lapierre!". If it is by U.S. Mail, I cross off anything pertaining to how much they want from me, then write "I can no longer support the NRA...

Re: Looking for a Match Pistol

You could also look into a CO2 single shot, or for even more fun, a 5 shot repeater like the old Steyr LP-5. A 20 lb bulk CO2 tank lasts FOREVER, So easy to refill the tank. Put it in the freezer, screw the tank onto the bulk tank with the adapter, crack the valve on the bulk tank, done. Make sure t...

Re: Anschutz LP50 opinion

If you can find one, the older Steyr LP-5 is CO2 operated much easier to fill. For me a 20 lb CO2 tank lasts a LOOOOOONG time. should be cheaper than the latest & greatest LP-50 also. Just note, you have to put the pistol's CO2 cylinders in the freezer prior to filling, and get a CO2 tank with a...

commercial ammo in Pardini 32 acp

Has anyone used the Fiocchi 32 ACP ammo loaded with the Hornady 60 grain JHP bullet? I was wondering how the accuracy compared to the Hornady factory load. Same bullet, same Mv, so how do they compare?

New Barrels for Model 52 Smith & Wesson

Just got off the phone with KKM Precision RE: Replacement barrels for the S & W Model 52. I was told that they are going to be making a run of these barrels but they are going to be shipped to a particular vendor, possibly with any extra or left over barrels available from KKM. Does anyone have ...

Korth revolvers

Got to handle a couple of the Korth mongoose revolvers at the NRA convention in Dallas, Was VERY impressed by the trigger on this pistol, unfortunately, I neglected to compare that pistol with the trigger on the Korth Super Sport. Has anyone had any experience with either on the 2 mentioned revolver...

Heads-up for 22 cal ammo

Just letting everyone know that targetsportsusa.com it THE place to go for cheap 22 cal ammo. Just picked up 3 cases of CCI SV for 242.50/case including shipping. I am in their Prime club which gets me an 8% discount, but even without the discount, the price would have around $20.00 more. In additio...

The cases that I was referring to are actually tool storage cases. Stock # 69318, or 62272. Outside dimensions on either are 18 x 13 x 6. Hope this helps.

Re: Compact Bullseye Locking Range Box

Harbor Freight has number of cases that might fit the bill. Some of them have internal, adjustable, partitions with pick-apart foam. Most of them have locks because they are designed to carry tools for service techs. Size of the ones that I use is 12 1/4, by 17 1/4, by approx. 5 1/5", inside me...

Re: Anyone using Armscor Std Vel 22 ammo?

I don't know about the armscor SV ammo, but target sports has the Aquila 22 SV for around 225/case delivered. You can also buy just a brick to try out, but you have to pay shipping on less than case lots. this is the same ammo that the CMP used to sell.

Re: Refills from a bulk CO2 tank question

I don't know about FWB cylinders, but my Steyr LP-5/50 has different threads on the CO2 cylinders and the PCP cylinders. I certainly would not want to plug in a 200 bar PCP cylinder into a relatively low pressure CO2 system, so I quess the different threads are understandable. Be safe.
